MCO car rentals—skip the counter

I have Alamo booked through Disney, it was $150 cheaper than even Costco, but does anyone know if I can skip the line if the reservation is with Disney?

Did you put in an Alamo Insiders number when you booked? If you did and you can see your reservation from the Alamo website you should be ok.

No, I did not see a place to add that and I do have one. Do you think if I call Disney they could add it?

We skipped the counter with Budget Fastbreak in November 2020 and February 2021.
It was closed when we were there in August 2021. The line at Budget was so horrible and barely moving. All other companies had super short lines or no line at all. I tried to quick book something with Avis and was going to cancel with Budget but when I went to the Avis counter, their system (partners with Budget) knew that I already had a car reserved and the kind people there gave me the key and car parking spot # that I needed.
I don't think I'll ever use Budget at MCO again. At least Alamo has plenty of kiosks so the only people standing in line are the tech-challenged who need a person to help them.

So I did end up booking with Budget through UT. Because for less than $700 I got a minivan for 10 days during spring break. Everyone else was $1400+, even through autoslash.

When booking there was no place to put my fastbreak number.

I was able to enter my confirmation number into my fastbreak account so IDK if we'll have to deal with the counter or not. Hopefully not, but at least one of us can deal with that line while the rest of us wait for luggage.

And YES we will make the trek over to Terminal A to grab a visitor toll pass. Even though it's on the opposite side of things, we'll need to burn some time for the car and luggage and it'll be worth not having to bring a roll of quarters and stop at 4+ toll stations. We will have had a practice run at that because DH and I are going on a trip in a couple of weeks and plan to use VTP for that as well.

We once drove from WDW to Miami and Alamo made it really easy. They just bill you for the tolls you incur plus a small fee. No need to pay OOP for tolls.

alamo charges a daily fee plus the tolls to use their toll pass service. Getting the VTP pass at the airport you ONLY pay the tolls.

Ahh, well there you go. That’s good to know. We took that ride in 2011, I think, and even if it hasn’t changed since then, we only had the car one day (overnight) to go from WDW to the Port of Miami for a cruise. It was less than $10 total IIRC.

Disney probably won't be able to, but Alamo might do it. Some companies will add it later, some won't, and some won't depending on what type of code is used.

Hope you had a great trip. Did you have to go to the counter or were you able to go directly to the car? Thanks.

Our trip isn’t until late March. Everything I’ve read indicates that we will have to stop at the counter with the UT rate. For $800 I’m savings , that’s something I’m willing to do.

Thanks for the quick response. Have a great trip.

Oh, and I'll add that we booked through the Chase UR portal with dollar for a trip in January, put in the rewards number, and when we landed at MCO we went directly to the garage which we apparently weren't supposed to do, but the woman working in the booth in the parking garage was able to take care of our paperwork for us.

I did the same for our January trip. I did bring up the reservation in my FastBreak account and it offered online check-in which I tried to do. The only problem was it wouldn’t accept any CC# as valid. I did go to the counter (short line), and the agent said I could’ve gone to the garage kiosk, adding the CC# there. Absolutely no problems and the savings were worth it.
