MCO baggage claim question

my dad and i are bringing our golf clubs w/us on an upcoming DEC trip to WDW and i was wondering if anyone's ever had any experience w/bringing golf clubs through MCO....

are oversized bags sent to a different baggage claim area to be picked up - or will i be able to simply get them from the same carousel that our normal sized suitcases are on?

as info - we'll be flying Southwest airlines...

Haven't done Southwest, but I think most if not all of the Airlines send the golf clubs on the carousel with the rest of the bags.

They treat it like regular, checked luggage and it will come through on the carousel.

We flew SWA in early Oct with two sets of golf clubs. There was an area right next to the baggage claim that had a sign that said that golf bags were to come out of there. But our two sets came out with the regular luggage. But I think there were some that came out at that special chute. Guess it depends who is moving the luggage.
