MCO Avis Question

I usually book with National but will be using Avis for a 1 way rental to Port Canaveral. I got an awesome rate of 23.28 total for the 1/2 day rental. Is Avis in the airport and do they have a system similar to Emerald Isle?
Also, I will be staing in the Hyatt at the airport upon arrival. Does anyone know what the best time to get the car would be? Should I assume the Avis desk will get busier as the morning goes on.
I was thinking about getting up early and getting the car but then I would need a place to park it. Or, can I go to the Avis desk early and just get the car when we are ready?

Avis is in the airport. You do not get to choose your car as with Emerald Isle. You can sign up to be a "Preferred" member at no charge. That way you skip the line in the terminal, and go straight across the street to pick up your car. We like Avis. Their cars have always been clean. The pick up & drop off of cars has always been easy. Twice we've done one way rentals to Port Canaveral. Their shuttle takes us right to the ship.
