Hi All

Not long until we leave for our trip to the US, can't wait!

I'm hoping somebody could shed some light with recent experience at the Alamo "Full Size" aisle at MCO?

Was it primarily Ford Fusion's in the aisle? Or some SUV's/other more exciting sedans in the aisle?

Also - I believe some airports have shared Alamo/National lots where you can choose from either, is this the case at MCO? And finally - I've read about their being two sides at MCO, an A side and a B Side - is one better than the other?

Both A and B side are the same. As far as what cars are available it can be just about anything. It all depends on what they have coming in. It could be Fords, Toyota, Nissan. You might see sedans, small SUV or mini vans. You can also end up with a free upgrade if you are there at a time when the aisle is empty.

Last time we rented from MCO I booked a compact and the row was empty so they told me to pick from the midsize row. That row had a pick up truck, several mini vans, a couple of Corollas and a bunch of Accents. The Accents are econo's not midsize. It was a really odd assortment that day. We took a Nissan Cube.

I haven't rented in the past year, but we usually reserve a standard/full size and we have gotten Chevy Impala's, Buick Lacrosse, Chrysler Minivans, and a Toyota Avalon in the past. It's pretty much a toss up - you never know what you'll see. I am happy with a Chevy Impala. They're large with a huge trunk and drive pretty good, too!

Unless something has changed recently, I don't usually see a lot of Ford's at Alamo MCO.

Here now as well, from the full size aisle I picked a Kia Soul and my friend a dodge caravan..there were actually more minivans today than sedans, mostly sonatas..

Does it depend on the time that your flight arrives? More choices earlier in the day?? :car:

Well I must have the worse luck then. This year I rented 3 times on Alamo. Always a standard/full size. Every time all I got was a full size (generally a ford Fushion or Impala). Whether I picked up on side A or side B, each time only had standard/full size cars. I've read some post about others snagging something bigger, but have never been the case for us.

When I went to pickup my full size rental a couple of weeks ago, there were only 8 vehicles out...all minivans! It was only me so I didn't want a minivan. I waited about 30 min and they brought up a Hyundai Sonata. (I wish they wouldn't overdo the air freshener in their cars! Ended up having to drive with the windows down all week!)

Last night on the A Side: Toyota camry, vw jetta, chrysler 200, Chevy impala.
I was looking for ford fusion and Hyundai sonata. They were not there.
