Ok...so I know I can look this up on MapQuest (and I worry a bit as DH says he'll rely on his phone GPS), but is there a best way to get from the Orlando Airport to Disney World (staying at AoA)? It looks like we just follow the Central Floriday Greenways highway and it's about a 30 minute ride? Or is there a better route?

Also, I think there is a toll. If so, how much to expect?

We always take the 417 to miss I4 which can be a miss. There are two tolls of $1.50 each. Take Exit 6 International Drive to avoid the extra toll if you go to the next exit which is labelled for Disney. Not still all necessary.

Staying straight after using Exit 6 the road becomes Epcot Drive and goes straight into WDW. Exit Epcot Drive at Buena Vista and follow the signs to AOA. Really easy actually. Have a great trip.

Actually, I'm confused. I'm looking at a map again and it looks like we can either take Central Florida GreenWay (hwy 417?) OR the 528 (I don't see a street name)? Is one quicker than the other? Not sure where I4 or exist 6 is is from the map I'm looking at. :confused3

528 takes you to I4 and then you take that to either Epcot Center Dr (536) or 192. The problem is I4. It can be busy even stopped at any time. 528 also has two tolls.

I would take 417 (Central Florida Greenway). If you look on Google Maps as you trace 417 toward WDW you'll see a green 6 just after the second toll center. That's exit 6. The road is mislabelled as World Drive. It actually becomes Epcot Center Drive.

As you trace Epcot Center Drive on the map to Buena Vista you'll see AOA to the west off of Victory Way. It's fairly close to Epcot Center Drive.

The other advantage of 417 is that is fairly light traffic at all times and the fastest way there, about 30 minutes.

I used the GPS on my phone and never had a problem. I think it's much better than mapquest.

FWIW, although I-4 is an East/West highway, it goes basically North/South through Orlando. Why they would do this to so many tourists I don't know LOL. So with 4 you're looking at something that's going N/S in the area where you will be.

We take 417 when going to WDW (and 528 when going to Universal) from the airport. If you do take that third, last, exit, it's a cash-only one from what I recall, so you will need coins.

If you belong to AAA you can go get a FL map for free.....
