Yay!!!! Next summer this ride will finally open after 7 years!

You have pulled my leg all the way to Canada! The mounties will get you for sure!

I am totally serious!!!!!

from Screamscape: Suess Landing Attraction - Rumor - (9/23/05) Over the last few weeks we’ve been hearing stories about something being planned for Seuss Landing to take over the uncompleted Driving Machines attraction and now the story is exploding from insiders all over Universal that we can expect something to be done at last here by summer 2006. Will it still be the Sylvester McMonkey McBean’s Unsusual Driving machines when they are done or something entirely new? We’ll have to wait and see.

Check out that "other" board for more info!!! Even the regular park employees who post there have confirmed it.

Just what was already said--it is scheduled to open in the summer of 2006.

it's the best news to come out of IOA this year. I had seen rumors that it might open as an altered version of what it was supposed to be in the first place.

Wow--this is news I thought I'd NEVER hear!! I thought sure damo was pulling my leg when I opened this thread. I can't wait to see what finally opens there.

I just hope they don't over hype the ride as some major addition.
Some think the new design will be a train, kinda like what they have at Hershey Park. That would hold more people. Then they need to build a walkway around the entire thing in case it breaks down.

thats so cool. i just read in the universal book about that ride. when i was first in seuss landing i just thought it was going along with the idea of "no straight lines".
where would the station be?
maybe that building right near the bridge between seuss landing and the lost continent?

What is it with IOA and their "Black Holes" of time? Pteranodon Flyers is consistantly 45 minutes plus. And now this? Pteranodon Flyers is only fun if you don't have to wait over ten minutes. This looks cool too, but only if you don't have to wait over ten minutes for it. Sounds like another cool ride ride that everyone will want to ride until they do and find out they just waited an hour for "What"?!?
Bring on Year round Grinch Lair.

I've heard rumours that PF will be replaced by a flying coaster in 2007. Of course, it is only a rumour. Universal is supposed to be officially announcing its new rides for 2006 and 2007 relatively soon.

PF is one of those rides you have to get there early for. What I did on a recent trip, was do the front row of Hulk, then high tailed it to PF. I got 3 rides in a row without getting out of my seat. It was a lot of fun, because no one was around, the park had just opened. Then I moved on to Deuling Dragons for some front seat rides.

Not to discredit said employees, but the cardinal rule here is: It isn't official until Universal themselves say it is. I've seen this "It's opening soon!" crap too many times before. And just like Screamscape says, it's probably something else, not the actual driving machines.

I've wondered what this track was for for years and the staff keep telling me it's just decoration. There's a station built in one of the buildings on the left as you come in from the lost continent.

They say it's just decoration because people keep asking how to get on the ride/rollercoaster/monorail. Since the ride has not opened, it is considered decoration.

The Driving machine ride in whatever encarnation will be a waste of time. Sure, if you rush to ride it first with less than a ten minute wait it's fine.
But, Why?!?
Just leave it alone and let it be decoration. I've seen it with characters running and it looks great. It's like another dimension to Seuss Landing. Suessian Creatures navigating their elevated highway. It looks cool.
It should not be a ride, Leave it as atmosphere.

::yes::

I just wish something new & exciting would open at either park soon.
