McDonalds... you want the truth? You cant HANDLE the truth!!

But that's why they taste so good!!

Yikes!! And here I was blaming the pregnancy for making my rear get bigger, could have been the McDonalds I've been craving.

:crazy2:

I never realized (or paid attention) that a quarter pounder w/cheese, large fries and a Coke contained enough calories to satisfy a full day's intake. 1200 calories in one meal!

It's terrible, isn't it? I don't eat at McD's anymore

Geez even the salads are bad!!:( I get a lot of lunch salads there!:(

I haven't eaten at a McDonald's in 5 years. Would be somewhere around 10 if I hadn't been forced to eat at one on a vacation.

I still haven't figured out why a cheeseburger Happy Meal costs .60 more than a hamburger Happy Meal when a cheeseburger only cost .10 more than a hamburger. When I asked the kid at the drive thru, he said, "I don't know ma'am. I'm making a D in math!"

What I usually eat has 560 calories- that's a small cheeseburger, small fries and a diet coke.:earseek:

WOW!! Me too. When I was pregnant, I craved McDonalds cheese burgars!! It had to be McDonalds!! I don't know why, but WOW!!

Now, I don't eat McDonalds that much. When I want a treat, I get the kids meal, cheeseburger (can't seem to shake the cheeseburger craving)

That's what I eat at McD's too. WOWZA!

I haven't noticed that about the price of the happy meals vs. the hamburger/cheeseburger prices. I will have to check that out on my next visit (if there is a next visit).

(how do you guys do the Quote thingy)

I asked once why my single cheeseburger cost more than the double cheeseburger off the dollar menu. They didn't have an answer to that one.

Deanna:confused:

Chalk those price differentials up to marketing, and because they can do it, and it works.

When I was first diagnosed with diabetes, and made a "lifestyle change" as far as my eating was concerned, I went to all the fast food websites and printed out their nutrition guides. It is absolutely amazing how many calories, how much fat and carbohydrates are in the food items!! I used to eat fast-food 3-5 times a week, now it's maybe once a month!! And even then I try to make "better choices" than I used to.
