McDonalds Same price as THE Real World?

Is the mc Donalds In the world around the same prices as it is around the corner from me.Or are the prices spiked?

I would say 'spiked'....but the parfait we got a couple of years ago for DH was huge.....Macky D's in WDW is great!!

it's more mundane than that. mcdonald's prices at market price. which means a meal in manhattan costs more than one in deluth (at least i'm guessing at the duluth part)

Unless the airport/landlord imposes pricing rules in the lease. Though Miami International Airport (where food tenants are not permitted to charge 10% above local franchise prices) is the only place I know that has this.

Actually there are a number places with such restrictions such as airports, theme parks, malls etc. Some times they are required to charge higher prices so as not to have too great of a competitive advantage. Additionally the restaurant most often has to pay the mall, airport etc a % of their sales so that additional cost contributes to higher pricing as well.

As far as McDonald's goes, the prices are higher than out of the park or tourist areas, but not terribly blown out of proportion.

I wish all airports did that! I would have saved a lot of money with all of the flying around I've done. Miami is one of the very few major airports that I have actually never been to.

Like mentioned, the prices on-property are a little elevated from the off-site McD's. However, they are still a better "bargain" than the Disney-owned fast food locations.

The big full McDonald's onsite (Animal Kingdom resort area) is currently under renovation. We found that out the hard way last week. It looks all modern on the outside. It is suppose to reopen by this weekend (May 15th). We ended up driving to the one near Crossroads (love my GPS!)

Don't they still have the nuggets and fry counter at Epcot too? I thought I saw it there last week.

Yep the one at the all-stars is just being refurbished!

I don't think they are hugely overpriced, but of course a bit because of where they are at.

How is the BIG McDonald's on I-Drive? We always pass it on our way to stock up at Wal-mart. Maybe, we'll try it our next trip.
