McDonalds pins

Can you tell me if they are tradable with CMs at WDW??? I know several people on the board collect them but wanted to know if it was worth taking them to the park. Found a mc Donalds that sells them off to customers......for under2 bucks......yippee!!!

This is a good question. I would like to know as well.

How did you find out that McDonald's sells the pins? Was there a sign? Did you ask? Is that corporate policy or just that store? my kids love those pins.

I'm not sure if ALL McDonalds pins are tradable at WDW. Certainly those with a Disney tie-in -- Toy Story promotion or DTD -- are tradable. If they don't have an obvious Disney tie, I'd check with the CMs or the Supertraders at WDW.

As for DIS policy, I would say those pins would be like CM pins and are tradable but not sellable, but I'll check with the other moderators and webmasters and see what they say.

I used to work for McDonalds until about 7 years ago and we never sold pins, but policy may have changed. Or this may be a franchisee trying to make a few extra bucks.

I am not sure if they still do but the DTD McDonald's at WDW sells the Toy Story 2 ones in this black case with all of them in it... If you know someone down there in Orlando that can check it out for you that might be good.

I am not too fond of Mc Donald's pins myself. I have seen the Dinoland pin going for over $40.00 in the auction sites, but, do we even know the edition numbers?

the young girl behind the counter had on a few Disney mcdonald pins...one was a dog bone for 101 dalmations, and I asked her if she was interested in selling it. She told me the mc donalds in Madison Ohio on Rt 90 sells the pins. That they keep them in a large case in the restaraunt and sell for a couple bucks each. I havent made it there yet and wanted to check if they were tradeable before I bought any. So if anyone has traded them please let me know how it went...

As long as the McD pin has Disney on the back they will trade it.

And there are a few McDonald's in out area Cindy that will sell them. Some will sell them with the money going to the Ronald McDonald House.

I trade them with no problem.

thats what I wanted to hear....we mentioned we collected them to a manager in Painesville today and she went in the office and got us a Cruise Line Disney one.....yippeeee!!! Gotta love free pins......

now if i can only find time to run to Madison....hmmmm lets see between dinner and bed........if I go straight there and back....oh yeah I am there this weekend....If I get some Deb do you want any???
