The last time we stayed at an All Star was in 97 and McDonalds wasn't there. Is it possible to walk to McDonalds for coffee ? I know it is located near the All Stars but I don't know how close it is. We have been staying at Fort Wilderness On all of our trips since 97 and the kids don't really remember flying so this year we are flying down. It's going to be hard to get the morning off to a good start with the coffee from the resort (won't be able to perk my own) thought McDonalds might be an option. Thanks for any help.

I think it's a little too far to walk if I remember correctly. Maybe without kids you could walk in about 20-25 mins.

I don't remember from when we stayed there, sorry - Might be a silly question, but is there any way to get there if you don't have a car?

Well, I'd say bring your own coffee maker (perhaps you can find a single cup coffee maker?) and coffee. Better than walking to McD's, which appears to be quite a walk. Save your feet for the parks and bring your own coffee maker! People, I'm sure, bring stranger things than that to their rooms. Just a thought!

It didn't seem terribly far from ASM last fall, but there aren't any sidewalks or anything, and it wouldn't really be safe to walk to.

From some parts of All Star Sports its a very easy walk. I have done it before both alone and with children.

When We was there in 2000 we walked to it without any problems
We just got throught driving 15 hours and needed to walk instead of getting back in the cars and driving...
It did not seem like it was far for us.
There were a few kids that did not complain at all ( 10, 8, 6, 2 in stroller)
It WOULD be too far if staying at the other All Stars though.
Sports is the closest

McDonald's IS within walking distance of Sports. It's not a short walk, however. There ARE sidewalks to use, as well as crosswalks with signals. Please make sure to stay on the sidewalks, use and obey the signals, and PLEASE watch out for crazy tourist traffic when crossing. :)

I am not a coffee drinker but when we were at Pop I saw a woman with those coffee bags that look like tea bags. She was just using the hot water there at the food court and clearly had brought her own coffee bag. I use these at home sometimes when my parents come over since DH and I don't like coffee. My dad says they make a good cup of coffee. Just a thought, easier than bringing your own coffee pot.

Thanks Tyler, If there ARE sidewalks and crosswalks and signals it can't be to bad of a walk. The single serve bags are a great idea, never thought of that.We thought about taking a coffee maker but have to wait and pack to see if we have room. I am an early riser and a good walk to get the blood flowing would be just what the Dr. ordered after sleeping in a hotel bed. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for correcting me Tyler! Didn't mean to give out the wrong ingo.

I thought the service people for the resorts park right across from Mickey D's and they walk there all the time. Not that we would..much too lazy LOL.
