Hello all,

Another one of my incessant questions!

As we are doing Disneyland Paris on a budget it looks like ill be taking my girlfriend for a romantic meal at Mcdonalds! Just wondering a couple of things:

How does the electronic screen ordering thing work? Does everyone do it like this as it would be much easier for us if we could rather than stumble with the language.

How much do things cost there? Its the only place i cant find a menu with prices on, are they exactly the same prices as here or more expensive?

Thanks for ur help!

I think this is the bes board for your question :)

I have heard the prices are more expensive than a regular McDonalds.

Can't help you with the ordering system though :confused3

The prices are a little bit more expensive but not much. A large extra value meal (called Maxi best of) is e6,50.

There aren't many of the touch screen ordering systems but they are easy to use. Most of the staff speak very good English, I have a special order (mac with no salad and mayo instead of mac sauce!) and they always understand what I want.

Ordering is very easy with the machines, choose your langauge, find your food, insert payment card and get a printed receipt, then take your receipt (with an order number on it) to the special desk to the right of the usual tills.

I'm pretty sure for a meal for all 4 of us I spent about 24 euros and we certainly didn't go for cheapest meals. A 'similar' meal quantity -wise in Annettes cost us 65 euros. it was a great cheap meal option and mean't we could splash out on some better meals (ie Rest des Stars!) later in the holiday.

I tried using the machines when we were there. They are easy to use but I went through the order and then it came up that there was an error in communicating the order to the kitchen! A member of staff said there were actually only 3 of the self service machines working (so why didn't they turn them off/ put a sign on them?) and directed me to another terminal. The same thing happened again though and when I called her over she fast tracked me to a till. Having spoken to other people it seems to be that not all non French cards are accepted, so it could have been this as opposed to the machines? (Not sure if this is the case though!) Lots of people did seem to be getting the same transfer error that I was.

It wasn't overly expensive. I seem to recall it cost just over 16 euros (or maybe it was 18) for two large Big Mac meals and a Happy Meal. The ordering area was heaving though and to be honest I very nearly gave up but we got a seat no problem.

If you are looking for 'cheap dining' the little supermarket (Casino?) at the train station had a good selection of filled baguettes and all the usual crips, drinks etc at a very reasonable price. Baguettes looked lovely and fresh too (didn't actually try them as we packed our own filled baguettes!). You could always buy there and walk up through Disney Village and eat them by the lake (up past McDonalds), was certainly nice and quiet up there if you fancied a break from it all.

You'll get a cheap meal at Earl of Sandwich too - very, very tasty sandwiches for about 5,50E :thumbsup2

You have some prices on this thread from Jan

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2866999

no major changes though the specials change

The latest offerings (but no prices as it varies slightly depending on where you are in the country) so you can check in advance what you would be ordering are here

:)

If the weather is OK I'd suggest it would be more romantic to buy a bottle of something tasty ;) from the Casino supermarket, pick up sadnwiches from the E0S and eat by the lake:thumbsup2
