HAHA!! I had to laugh at what Marsha posted:

"Came back to my desk and ate the meat, the lettuce, the onions, the cheese that stuck to the meat, and threw the bread in the garbage!"

I used to do just the opposite!!
I gave up eating beef about 9 years ago. I NEVER missed it, except for the Big Macs at McDonald's. But, it wasn't the "two all-beef patties" that I missed, just the "special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame-seed bun"! :teeth: :teeth:
At first, I'd order it and take the 2 patties home to my dog. But then I realized that a lot of the cheese was sticking to the meat, and I wanted that cheese! So then, I started ordering them minus the meat! I haven't had one in years!

By the way, I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the BK Veggie at Burger King!! It's 7 WW points and worth every one! I just have to restrain myself and only order fries with it if I have lots of points available!!

LOL Debbie!! I have a friend who is a vegetarian and she does the same as you! She orders a Big Mack minus the meat!! :p I thought she was the only one who ever did that! :)

Is the BK Veggie something new? I haven't heard of that before?

The 'BK Veggie' burgers have probably been around here for 2-3 months or so. They are sooooo good! At first they just came with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I would always ask for them to add pickles and onions. NOW they come with pickles, onions, and ketchup in addition to the lettuce, tomato, and mayo! I like to think it's because they got tired of me asking them to add that stuff!! heehee

Tell your friend to check and see if they have them in her area!

I've also seen 'McVeggie' listed on the Dotti's Weight Loss Zone site, but unfortunately our McD's don't have them yet. :( One manager told me (last month) that they'd be coming to our area in "about a month". Other managers I've asked haven't even heard of them. And I checked out the McD's website and didn't see any word of them either!

Oh well, I guess Burger King will keep getting my money!:D :D

Debbie

I have been known to order a Cheeseburger no meat, especially last year when they had the 100 years of magic happy meal toys.

I had a BK veggie burger about a year ago and I think they must have overcooked it or something because it wasn't worth the fat to me (I was watching fat back then). Now it isn't worth the carbs to me.

I'm glad you found something you love at BK though. I know it's hard for vegans to find good fast food.
