What upsets me... heck, insults me...

If we are to believe that McCain chose a female running-mate to "capture" the Hilary supporters (specifically, women) - how insulting is that to women? Do they honestly believe that any signifigant number of women will change their vote SIMPLY to vote for a woman??

And (in my best Chandler Bing voice) .... could she BE any more different than Hillary?? I'm hearing on the news that she's an NRA member and her "favorite meat" is moose. She believes that global warming in NOT cause by human factors.

Just as INSULTED as I was that they wanted to add an African American to the ticket.... Why in the HECK do they think that we're interchangeable???? I don't ever assume that another Caucasian is going to be the same or attract the same people as another Caucasian.

How can you say that she is less qualified then Obama?? She has two years of exective experience sp?? Obama has no exective experience. For most of his time in Congress he was running for president.

Are you serious? Executive experience of a state the size of Charlotte, NC? The state with the 4th smallest population of our nation? Sorry, I really don't agree that she is more experienced than Obama, as Howard Fineman said today, in regards to experience, "She makes Obama look like John Adams." You just can't spin her as experienced....sorry.

I think when people find out she is against all abortions, even in the case of rape and incest, she will lose support. Can you even imagine the kind of judges she would appoint if she got the chance?

I am pro-choice, but abortion makes me sad, and I do think it should be disallowed after a certain point in gestation.

However, if you believe human rights begin at conception, how in the world does the crime of the father have anything to do with the embryo's right to life? I don't agree with her, but unlike many pro-lifers, she's at least logical and consistent.

I don't want anyone to vote for anyone else based on gender. What an odd thing to do. Not saying it won't happen, just saying it is disgraceful.

I hope that "average" American moms who are undecided will take a long, hard look at this woman before they decide to join forces with her. She is NOT a mom like the average American mom, and anyone who looks long enough will see that.

Want to know what sort of person she REALLY is? Talk to her domestic employees. I know lots and lots of moms with nannies. Most of the time their nannies would tell you a very different story than the mom herself would tell.

There has been one nice thing about Palin, no Obama bashing threads today, just some Obama bashing in the Palin threads. I think the bashers are showing what hypocrites they are. Before people get too worked up over this issue, I think if you look at the history of running mate selection you'll find any number of quick "weddings" on tickets of politicians that are far from old friends.

And you'll find that historically, the VP selection really isn't what has defined the outcome of Presidential elections.
