Has anyone done the parks in these? I wondering if I worked my way up (and bought a regular pair in the stroller) if it would be a great workout or just plain stupid!

I have some and I thought they would be a great idea but now I'm rethinking that. I may try it anyway but I will have some spare shoes with me

I will only wear my MBT's to the World for walking around the parks. They are the best, most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I have done two Disney trips with MBT's and they work so great for me. I have Plantar Fascitis (in a nutshell it is terrible pain in the heel of one foot when walking). Anyway, I recommend them to anyone who asks. They are the most comfortable shoe to spend a lot of time walking. Once you are used to them, you will see what I mean. I am pain free every day and I walk twice a day, every day, for at least 30 minutes each walk. I could not do this about a year ago due to the pain I was experiencing. Just bring other comfortable shoes for your trip to be on the safe side. Good luck and enjoy your MBT's. You can sometimes find clearance on certain styles so check the web for these. I got a pair of sandals (last years style) for a much better price. I love those as well and they will be in my suitcase when I go to Disney next week.

Hey Lydia you are right. We will be there at the same time. We are staying at CBR for the first time. We always stay value so we can go every year but this year the 40% off military rate, plus the bonus of the fun card (or free entry) for your birthday has allowed us to do a moderate. It is my DGS's 5th b-day surprise trip. I will also celebrate a birthday 2 days after him. So my fun card will let me buy myself, and DGD who will turn 3, each a birthday gift of our choice with the fun cards. We are staying in a pirate room and the kids do not know they are going to Disney. Do not know how DS (who is staying home this time as they have a baby at home) and DDIL have kept it a secret but they have. DGS keeps asking when will summer be here so he can come out here to KY for his summer visit! DDIL is going to tell them at Orlando airport once they have met up with me. I think I am more excited and will probably cry like a baby when I see DGS and DGD next Saturday. I hope to see you at the World. I will be the one with the worn white Sport MBT's that are the most comfortable shoes ever. Hope your foot situation works itself out. If you decide to try out the MBT's go to The Walking Company (I think that is what it is called) in your local mall. You can google the name of the store and find out if there is one near you. I found a mall in MA last year so I could actually try them on and walk around the store in them. Had to go up a size from my regular size just as the web site suggests. They are Swiss made shoes I believe so sizes are somewhat different. The walking company is a more exclusive store that sells brands like MBT, Teva and some of the others Disers have listed here.

Here is the web site for you to check out regarding the actual company. Have a great trip!

What are MBT shoes?

My Best Terrain shoes?

Masai Barefoot Technology...check out the website. The shoes are hideous but a good workout, from what I hear.

Try looking into Reebok easytone sneakers. They are just as good as MBT( i have both) and about $100 cheaper.

I, too, have PF - for 4 years now. Nothing has cured it; my podiatrist is ready to send me for surgery but I'm leary of doing something that extreme when it's only 90% effective. So I've been wearing MBTs... and they're the ONLY shoe that keeps me on my feet these days without severe pain.

At $245/pair, they're expensive... but worth it. I'll be wearing mine next week at Disney, trying to keep up with my 19-year-old niece (it's her first trip to Disney!).

I wanted to try these but didn't want to splurdge so much just in case they didn't work for me. I tried the ones from AVON for 30.00 as a cheap alternative. The tennie shoe style gave me blisters but the sandle style worked better.

I have the sandals and I love them, but I haven't used them yet at WDW. I'd be interested to hear what your experience is if you decide to go ahead and use them. The sandals are so comfortable and I've been sorely tempted to use them there. Let us know how it works for you!!

Lydia I just saw you are in NH - I'm right next door in VT. Hey neighbor!

Hey Zuzu! Can't believe we'll be going into the hot, humid weather soon! My SIL and I checked the weather in Orlando at about 9 pm and it was 88 degrees!
