MBs when resort res isn't in my name

I have ASMO reserved for 1 night and purchased tickets for 5 days w/park hopper. My cousin reserved the remaining 4 days resort reservation at CSR in her name. I can't figure out how my bands will work the resort door at CSR when the reservation isn't in my name and therefore won't be in my Disney Experience page. I'm confused!.

Your cousin can make you (and your group) a part of her/his DME.

The problem is she's a Florida resident and I'm not- so when she booked she couldnt add me to the package. I purchased my tickets with my room booking(the one ASMO night). So the same goes for her-she won't be able to use her MBs for our one night stay at ASMO as her tickets were purchased in a package for CSR as a Florida resident.
Do u think they can just add us to the room upon check in as we will do with them too upon ours? How will this info translate to our bands?!
Am I thinking too much into it?

(I won't address the "can they just add us to the room" question, as that's specifically a resorts question
and not my area of knowledge.)

However, concerning the MB opening the resort door:
When you have worked out the room details so that you are checking into the resort in question,
resort front desk CM will be able to add the new room info to your MDE account
and your MagicBands will be authorized to open the door(s) at that time.
