MB's linked to AP's Question...

Wondering how this is going to work... After we booked our stay, we were able to customize our MB's in MDE. After doing that I purchased our AP's online and scanned the voucher bar codes into MDE. We still have to activate the vouchers when we arrive. At that time will they be able to link those passes to the MB's we already have because of our resort stay or are they somehow already linked??

If your vouchers are linked to your MDE account then your APs will be linked to your MDE account once they are activated.

Your AP info will be linked to your MDE account where your MagicBands are also linked. The MBs provide the link to your info in your MDE account at entrance tapstiles and FP lines.

If you have a voucher, it should already be linked. I bought one last month and it is showing in MDE and I can make fastpasses. When you activate, it will update in MDE. Nothing is actually on your magic band, it's just a link to your MDE.

It is linked for FP reservations- but the annual pass itself is not active. AKA it cannot be used for park admission without visiting guest relations to activate the voucher.

Also remember that you will need your actual AP for discounts (your MB will NOT grant you these discounts on its own even if it is linked to your AP)
