Can I link a non RFID ticket to a magic band? I am staying offsite and have an older unused 5 day base ticket and want to link it to my Magic Band. Can I do this? Or does it need to be converted once I get there?

I don't see why you should need to since you don't use the ticket to get into the park.

Depending on the age of the ticket, you may be able to link it to your MDE profile. If it's too old, it will need to be converted first.

You need to add the ticket numbers to your MyDisneyExperience account.

You do NOT need to "link the ticket TO your MagicBand."

Once the ticket registers in your MDE account, any MB registered to you will have those ticket assets available for use by the MB.

Just to keep things as clear as possible-

There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info,
or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.

The MagicBands just contain a unique serial number that is used
to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file.
Disney can just set up a new band (different serial number)
to access the info in your MDE file.
Disney can also issue ADDITIONAL MB's to a guest and each
additional band can be used for the same purposes as the first band.
So, yes, there can be multiple MB's per person, and each of them can be used by that person.

The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, or a key to a locked door.

Why does this distinction matter?
Because there is so much fear about losing bands and,
in turn, losing all of a guest's information thought to be on the band.

The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info.
The MB just unlocks the file of info, allowing it to be accessed from your MDE account when needed.

Thank you. I will try. It's only 2 years old so hopefully it will work.

You shouldn't have any issues linking a ticket that's only 2 years old to MDE. If the ticket has a bar code and you have the MDE mobile app on a phone/tablet with a camera, it's very simple to scan the ticket to link it.

2 years is with in the window (Disney has published the date, I just don't remember it off the top of my head) that they have uploaded tickets back to. Tickets prior to the date need to be taken to GS for them to do their magic.

Some people have reported issues with tickets inside the window but every case I've heard of resolution on MDE support fixed it.
