I'm talking about asking for KTTW cards at the resorts, to use instead of the bands. The Disney website says you can. But there's been plenty of folks here who said they asked, and were told no.

At any rate, I can use my annual pass to open the resort door. So if you have an old KTTW card with RFID, why could you not register it with MM+ and use it as your card?

I have the same issue. I ended up wearing mine slightly eschew. I didn't mean to, but the mickey head naturally ended up sitting on my wrist bone. it ended up being rather comfortable and I forgot I was wearing it after the first few hours. Each morning, it slid right back into its "spot" when I put it on.

Besides speaking to guest communications, I also spoke to AKL about issuing KTTW instead of using the bands. Here is part of an email sent to me from AKL confirming what we discussed:

News! We have no issue cutting a Key to the World Card that you can use instead fo the Magic Band. You can leave the bands it the box if you want. We just have to wait until check in to print them. We look forward to assisting you with all other aspects and making all work for your family.

That's where I wore mine too. I think it is supposed to be there so it is on the outside of your wrist if you are holding your hand parallel to the ground. Then it is easier to touch to the mickey head. Is there an illustration somewhere?

Actually, you mean askew. Eschew means deliberately avoid using, although I suppose it could be a Freudian slip.

Mine was uncomfortable until I made it the smaller kid size. Then it was much better.

So what's the issue with the curve in the band - it's too big for skinny wrists or too small for fat wrists? We are planning an onsite trip, and will have some skinny wristers and fat wristers.

Probably both. I have small wrists and found it incredibly uncomfortable. I clipped it to my lanyard instead of wearing it. It was bulky and didn't fit smoothly on my wrist. The part with the mickey head stuck up above my wrist (it has to, because of the chip) but what bothered me is that it also stuck out beyond my wrist as well. It's like it was half bangle bracelet and half fitted bracelet. It felt awkward and I didn't like it.

I think if someone has a large wrist then the rigid curvature on the top part of the band would stick up.

I just think they could be made differently, softer, so they can mold to each person's wrist.
