MB uncomfortable...

A tip for the petite ladies, you can pull off the grey part and just wear it with the colored part. It is a lot less bulky that way.

I wore mine looped around my bag strap as much as I did on my wrist. I could never get it to the right size to fit me comfortably.

I never thought pulling the card out of my wallet was a big issue..

I think this may be one of the psychological things that studies have shown people spend more.

If you have charging on a card, and you have to fish it out of your pocket or wallet, that is basically the same as getting out a credit card- so your mind relates it to "crap, I've been doing this a lot, I am spending a lot of money".

But put your wrist next to a scanner? People don't associate that with the action of spending money, and likely spend a lot more than they meant to.

It may not be true to the individual, but to generalize the idea. That's why Disney wants it on your wrist, and not in your pocket.

The chip is supposed to face the outside of your wrist. It was designed that way so it would be easier to scan Mickey to Mickey. If you are wearing it on the top like a watch, you're doing it wrong ;)

We all found them perfectly comfortable, but occasionally I would put one (or more) around my purse strap, or on a carabineer hooked to a keychain/belt loop/backpack/etc., and that was fine too. If you have nothing at all to link them to, and just want something to slip into a pocket, then you can just use the card.

There are a few features that are starting to be tested or used around the parks that will work with the bands and not the cards, but they're just "bonus" type stuff. Things like reading your band and automatically linking your ride photos to your Memory Maker account, or activating certain interactive features in particular places in the parks. Again, nothing huge that you'd use constantly, and they still mostly in the test phase, so you can't rely on those features yet anyway.

For medical reasons, I can't wear bracelets. I plan to hook it to a lanyard around my neck, or possibly a retractable cord on a belt loop.

There really isn't any reason you couldn't put it in your pocket, just like a card. But this way, you don't have to stand in line to ask for a card.

Except now you have a big bulge which could prove to be uncomfy! At least a card lays flat.

I didn't like wearing one either, so I just kept it in my purse and pulled it out when I needed it. I didn't trust it enough to just hook it to the straps. I was afraid it would fall off.

We wore ours loose and never found them hot or uncomfortable. My wrist is small enough that I was between using the regular band or pulling the colored part out. I was glad I left it in one piece so I could have it loose. We also felt that the plastic softened a bit after a day so it wasn't as stiff.

OP here, OK, I've been wearing it for 2 - 3 hours and its not that bad.
seems to be loosening up.
Nice to have the option as we also received the cards...

My wife and I just got back from a 5 day trip we wore ours the whole time, hardly noticed them by the end of the trip. If the cards are RFID cards you should be fine to use them, saw lots of other guests using their cards...

One small annoyance, if you are using your cards, please get them out, and ready to scan before you get to the FP entrance! So many times a huge large line started forming while someone was standing in line fumbling through their wallets looking for the card.

I don't wear anything on my wrist any more, but did not mind the MB at all. It trusted around sometimes, making me have to look for the Mickey, but had no issues otherwise.

I laid mine flat under a pile of books for a few days and it was much more comfortable after that...for me. Best of luck!

This intrigues me. :magnify: Did the band flatten much? I would probably just cut the bands off and put the center sensor section (including all the hardware that extends into the curved section) on a lanyard if I could flatten it enough.

So what's the issue with the curve in the band - it's too big for skinny wrists or too small for fat wrists? We are planning an onsite trip, and will have some skinny wristers and fat wristers.

I actually emailed Disney about this and a few other concerns. Yesterday they called to talk to me. I explained how I thought Disney should consider giving guests a choice and I was told that you could definitely request a card when you arrive and simply not use the band. I was told the card will do everything the band will do, including your fast passes. This is what I will be doing as I have sensitive skin. I can't even wear my wedding band because it causes a rash. So, no jewelry for me.

This is what they are telling everyone but there are numerous posts on here from folks who say they asked for cards at their resorts and were denied. Only applicable if you booked a package I guess, if you bought the tickets separately wouldn't you have a physical ticket?

Wondering if we are talking two different cards. I was told that as of the first of the year Y&B and BCV when strictly to bands...no more KttW card. However, we still have cards for our annual passes.
