MB Pin Glitch

Just got back from our first trip with MBs. We had one glitch with our PINs for our MBs. We did online check in. DH made sure that all of us had setup our own individuals PIN numbers that would be easy to remember. He insisted that we do this and checked with us several times to make sure we had done it and knew what they were. So of course when we get there guess who forgot his PIN Yes DH forgot his PIN and had the CM at check-in reset his. So a few hours later we are getting lunch at Starring Rolls and DS wants to "pay". So he scans his band and his PIN is invalid. I scan mine and mine is also invalid. DHs is the only one who's PIN is working. Well long story short, when the CM reset DHs PIN# it reset all of our PIN#s to his number Not sure why that happened if it was a glitch or a mistake by the CM. No big deal, just wanted to let people know if they need a PIN reset it may change everyone in your party's PIN.

So this might be a weird question, but we leave in just a few days. What do you have to use your PIN for? Just purchases?

I ask because it is me (dad) and my 11 year old son. I wonder how much he might need a PIN?

For purchases charged to the MB and for the dining plan.

I thought that only one pin was picked for everyone in the room using the same credit card. Unless anouther credit card was added to the room and could have a different pin.
