MB & park tickets

So we're going to WDW in August and wanted to get our MBs. We will also need to buy new park passes. Does it matter in what order i do this? Or do i have to get one before the other? TIA.

Order doesn't matter, but I think most people here have tickets bought and linked to their MDE account long before bands enter the picture.
