MB customization colors only grey?

We just got back from a trip where all five of us were able to pick different colored MBs. We have another trip scheduled for next May, and MDE is already prompting us to customize our new set of bands. I clicked on the "Customize" button for each of the bands, and the only color option given for all five of them is grey.

Is this a glitch? Or does it have something to do with that trip still being almost six months out?

I got the same thing for May. I'm hoping it's just the long time before the actual trip. I was only able to customize my January trip about three weeks ago, so I figure they've got time to sort it out.

Same here only gray as a color choice. Just going to keep checking to see if others pop up

I asked tech support about it when I was on a call for vanishing names on my MDE account and they said it technically shouldn't even be showing for us this far out which is why there are no colors to customize. He said to try again in like Jan-Feb.

I just posted a thread about the exact same thing. My trip is in June and it seemed that as soon as I went under the 200 day mark the bands showed up, but only in grey. I customized them but didn't finalize them. I will try again in a month to see if that helps.

Oh and yes, "technically" a ton of glitches shouldn't be happening but they are .

I just logged into MDE this morning after not logging in for most of November and was prompted to customize our MBs for April and all was well.

For our January trip I was able to customize at 80 days.

Don't worry it's a glitch! Around 80-70 days for bands and exactly 60 for FP+. Disney unfortunately has a lovely glitch that tells people they are able to customize bands and reserve FP+ before their windows. They seriously need to get it under control- freaks people out. No worries though- it's a glitch and it's not time for it yet- that's why it won't work.

I looked at my MDE account today, and was able to customize my MBs today for my trip beginning on May 19th. I was pretty surprised because I thought it wouldn't be available until much later.

Actually, I just went in and checked, and now all the colors are available for May! It also tells me that I can make FP+ selections starting January 11, but that's also the check-in day of my January trip, so I don't know if that's for real or a glitch that combines the two reservations.

I'm betting if you try to do the FP+ it will tell you you aren't within your dates. That is part of the glitch I originally mentioned. We got that prompt too- but when you actually try to do it, it's a no go If you try and it lets you, let us know because that would be a new development too.

Sorry, I didn't respond as to the bands- as far as the bands- someone on a separate thread stated they called IT and as of Feb 2 they opened bands to everyone with reservations in 2014. When I gave the 80/70 window I was unaware of the VERY recent change. They stated the closing window for ordering bands remained the same as before though so there is no hurry unless people are really excited to customize

Oh, no. I was only referencing the bands, I didn't have any expectations that fp+ would be bookable yet. I didn't even have any expectations that MBs would be customizable until they actually (mostly) were.

I was able to customize ours just a few minutes ago and our trip is May 22-31.

I had gray all last week. For six days I checked religiously and today BAM! colors became available. I'm at 152 days out, arriving on May 4th.

I'm at the 156 day mark until our vaca (but who's counting right?!) in mid may. All of the color options for MBs opened up for me today.

We are reserved for Oct. 2014 and I was able to customize our MB colors.
