Maze Room Manners

I have been told by many of rude players intentionally blocking teleporters so others are kicked out to the room entry doors thus ending their MAZE run and making them have to start over. After having this happen to me last night several times I thought a Maze Manners Thread was in order.

Although I know a DISer would never do this!


Maze Manners

1. Do Not Block Teleporter Doors either Entering or Exiting

2. Do Not use Magic in the MAZE

3. Do move to the side if having trouble navigating and let others pass

4. If someone asks for help ....help them if you can

5. If you are stuck and can not move, leave the room so everyone does not crash because of you.

6. If you see someone doing this over and over REPORT THEM

Great idea, Mal. I was in a room full of door blockers at one time Why would you want to block the door, your dc clock is ticking too?! I am starting to think that there are people who like to intentionally make the experience of other players miserable. They are obviously not DIS people!

Good suggestions. To emphasize the "don't block teleporter"...

If you are following another guest, try to give it a slow count of eight before following them to give them time to get through.

The instant you see yourself in the next room, try to click a few steps away from the teleporter (even one step will help). Don't stand there and try to figure out the next door. This way, you are less apt to block the guest following you.

This has happened twice this morning to me. I did report them both, however VMK sent me a message stating that the room owner is not present and to exit the room. So reporting did absolutely no good. What a mess this event is! Remind anyone of Halloween???

Thanks for the thread but unfortunately some of the ppl are Dis-ers.

At least the one I saw was a minor offense....Magic use...and then rude when we asked him/her to stop. (I also know it was not an adult player)

No I won't say any names. (Mal or Lori would just take it out anyways. )

Heck I even had some say that I was trying to impersonate a CL. Not so, I was being helpful to someone stuck at the first door to enter the maze. They are all so impatient. OH, and then they want to follow you if you know the maze!

My disconnect time is either 30 or 40 minutes. As long as the queue to enter is under 30 ppl I can finish the maze without a problem. Just make sure you log into VMK and go straight to the maze.

For me this is the one I think people should really pay attention too. Yes the teleporter blocking thing is another one, but I think this one gets looked over a lot. When I was in the maze there were quite a few newer players and guests that couldn't figure out how to move. It's sometimes hard to figure out the right spots to click for the players who have been playing longer. Then, instead of trying for a few seconds to help, they were all just yelling at him. When I got into the room there was a sizely backup because everyone was just yelling at him to leave instead of suggesting a place to click. I told him a few good spots to click and then everything was fine.

it is difficult to move around soemtimes in the mazes when there are other charchters present, especially in one of the lines, you cant click the spot to move to because it is hidden by the other people!you have to find the minute spot where it nwont open their profile

Here is a tip - just in case you cannot see the teleporter - let the next person go and then follow them immediately into the teleporter. Ok the biggest fear would be that you would be bounced and not get in the room - but it did not happen to me.

another reason to follow these guidelines/manners is you do not know WHO might be in the room with you.....we well most of us have many Characters that we play and not all of my characters are known to anyone.


Bet that is the same with alot of people!

Sometimes you cannot follow a guest through the door or end up outside the maze. If you cannot see the door, ask another guest to open it, back up, and let you go first. Then they can open again to follow you.

i here you..some people are rude!
i have really room sat, but i was in the room when on of the leaders got boot and there was some that kept saying to move it. I was trying to make sure no one got stuck in the doorway of the next room because people are going too fast
