Can you believe this......My dishwasher was part of the recall. I called and set up service through Maytag website. It was scheduled for today. I was looking over website this AM and noticed that I was supposed to receive a repair kit. WELL---I never received it!!!! I had my 79 year old mother come over to my house to wait for the repair man because everyone knows that they can't give you an exact time. I called Maytag and they said they were "sorry" but they did not anticipate the need for the kits so they were delayed in getting them out. "did not anticipate the need" ????? Don't they keep records as to how many were manufactured and sold? Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, now I have to wait till I get the part and then reschedule the service call. I can't stand not having a dishwasher!!! My husband is a plumber, does anyone know if he would be able to do it on his own?
