Maybe we go to Disney too much?

Two weeks ago, our DD16 missed 5 days of school. When she went back to school, her friends kept asking how was Disney? lol....we didn't go anywhere, but they just assumed, for some strange reason, that we went to Disney again.

I get the same thing. People now even ask when the next trip is as they know I have one planned at all times!!

My DH just sent me a link to this thread asking me "Who does this sound like?" If I didn't have a trip in the works at all times people would wonder if I was ill. Whenever we say that we are going on vacation people just smile and say "Let me guess to where".

Yep, you're not alone. The school office knows our WDW vacation schedule almost as good as I do. When my kids take their vacation notes in before we leave, the secretary always smiles and says, "Tell Mickey hello!"

I just tell folks I'm headed to Florida now. Leaves a bit of mystery. Of course anything's gotta be better than where I am right now. (Freezing my numbchucks off in OC.) When is winter supposed to end?!

Winter seems to be never ending here in CT also. We leave for a cruise in less than three weeks, and I can't wait to get to Florida.

I admit to being one of those guys (jerks) who always asked a co worker how was Disney every time they weren't at work (or even came in late)! I now realize that it was pure jealousy that prompted my comments! Knowing that, I now "suffer" from similar comments from my other jealous friends!

OT you need to turn the Heat on we're heading down to the beach Fri.

As for the Rest yes we get it as well. Told some people we are going for a weekend trip and the first thing they say is well at least it will be warmer in FL . I just have to tell them no just to the Beach and they say well Vero is still in FL right I only wished

We've turned into sorry saps. As we spend last night and this morning washing bed clothes, sorting kitchen cabinets and surveying all the little repair and upkeep jobs we have to do on the condo this season, all we could think of is how nice it is to stay in our timeshares. The dishes all match, the beds are stripped and made by someone else, and the maintenance team handles all those odd jobs. In retrospect having to ask for ceramic mugs is a very small price to pay.

Wish I could say I turned the heat up for ya. The beach was practically dead this weekend. 40 degrees tops and that Atlantic breeze was downright frigid. Oh well, next time I return (for Springfest) it should be lots warmer. And my next trip is sunny FL. I can't wait for some nice 70-80 degree temps!

We've got reservations for our next 4 trips in the next 2 years, including a cruise, and we're talking about using points beyond 2 years or adding another trip sooner.

Thanks to DVC, our rooms are prepaid, annual pass, tickets are prepaid and frequent flyer miles takes care of flights.
