Are Taxi cabs available on X-Mas day or is it best to rent a car on the 24th? Our intention is to switch hotels.

Central Florida is a 24/7/365 resort area. There are no days when transportation services do not operate.

If you are switching between Disney resorts let them move your luggage. Disney tranportation will be working that day. Check out of your first Disney resort, tell the front desk or bell hop that you are switcjhing resorts and you would like them to transfer your luggage, go to park, return to new resort and check in. Your luggage should be waiting for you at the new resort.

If you are not staying at a Disney resort ignore this post.

Sorry, just saw your countdown counter and noticed you were staying at AKL and Universal so this info probably doesn't help you.
