Maybe the third time is really gonna be the charm......

Over 2 weeks ago we thought DD was going to deliver soon. She didn't.

Three days ago she had more tell-tale signs that the baby wanted to come out, but she didn't.

Well, DD has been having easy contractions for the last 3 hours. None that radiate to her back; varying from 5 to 25 minutes apart and 12-40 seconds in duration. Her OB told us to keep her home from school (which really, really upset DD!) It doens't sound like Braxton-Hicks but they are not hard at all. She easily talks through them (and even walks & chews gum at the same time!).

I hope that this is the start of something big!

BTW, I probably won't post too much if I see that the baby is really coming. I think it would be very cool to use my 999th post to say we are going to the hospital and my 1,000th when I become a grandma. I hadn't planned this but I just recently noticed my count and thought it would be a truly special milestone.

(I may be PMing some of you guys in the meantime to share info instead of blowing my post count!)

Yikes! The last few weeks are like years!

My son was due on December 25th, I was fully effaced on November 30th, and he didn't make his exit until January 5th!! People would run when they saw me coming!! The holidays were real fun that year...

Let us know! And don't feel bad, my Mom was a grandma at the tender age of 39... I didn't even become a Mom until I was 36!
