I am thinking of, really wanting to book a 4 day cruise for April 13 thru the 17, 2003. The kids will be out of school for spring/Easter break. We were thinking of using our American Express Rewards points, approx. 250,000, but when I call AE today they said they couldn't make any reservations yet because they don't have 2003 information. We should call back at the beginning of October. I'm thinking to just book a trip now and pay cash. What advice would you all give? Wait until October or do it today? I'm afraid we might not be able to get anything if I wait another month. If I book today, would I be able to transfer points later on to pay. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This may not answer your question, but hopefully it will help.

Not familiar with the AMEX rewards plan. However, you can look to see availability for next year using the DCL site. Just click on make a reservation. You will be able to see what cat is still available for that time frame.

I have read on these boards that Disney may be ending its rewards with AMEX as Disney and Visa are issuing a joint card in January which will have Disney Rewards. That is probably why AMEX doesn't have the info. They may no longer be partnering with Disney come Jan. I wouldn't hold off.

Thanks for the info. I'm a little distressed to hear that Disney won't be taking Amer. Ex rewards points. The points we had would have paid for me and Dh and we would have had to just pay for the kids. Oh well, I will probably just book the trip tomorrow. Thanks again.
