Because this is the Budget Board and we're all always looking for ways to save money, I thought I would share this.

As a single mom with a daughter in private college, DD#1 works hard looking for ways to save money. For the past two years, she has been tracking her "freebies." which she gets through various legitimate websites.

This year, from January-October she has received $741.05 worth of merchandise - samples of products, magazine subscriptions, concert tickets, etc.

Her cash wins so far equal $234.40 from Swagbucks,(which she turns in Amazon giftcards $5.00 at a time), radio station contests, and doing surveys online.

If anyone is interested, here are some she has used successfully:

www.swagbucks.com
www.surveyhead.com
www.mypoints.com
www.sendearnings.com
www.myinsite.generalmills.com
www.mycokerewards.com
www.deliciousrewards.leancuisine.com
www.dinnerclub.stouffers.com

Some blogs she reads that are helpful in finding good deals and freebies are:

www.couponingtodisney.com
www.thefreebieblogger.com
www.refundcents.com

and a blog she found helpful in general is www.thesimpledollar.com

Hope that helps somebody.

Have you heard of field Agent that pays you to go to a store and get them some info on products or displays? You have to have an iPhone. Not offered with the android. Great app that gives you cash.

I hadn't heard of that, but we don't have iPhones anyway.

A couple more that I really like are e-rewards (you earn 3-5 "dollars" per survey. $75 gets a $25 retail gift card, $50 is 1 A+ credit for AirTran, which is what I redeem for) and e-poll (PayPal or Amazon gift cards). The e-poll have been really cool lately: you get a "poll" to agree to watch a TV show that's airing I the next couple days, and then you answer questions about it the next morning for like 1000 points (I want to say a $10 gift card is 4000 points or something like that).

I may check out the e-poll deal; I'm retired and watch far too much television. I might as well get "paid" for it! Do you have a link we could use?
Thanks!

I love Wikets and Mpoints and field agent. Got tired of doing surveys-these pay either amazon gift cards or PayPal cash.

I would add Jingit and Viggle. Viggle isn't what it used to be, but you can still earn some free stuff while you watch TV.

We also love Snap Appy- it's an iphone/ipad/ipod app for Old Navy- every week for the last few months we've gotten a SNAP5 ecoupon for $5 off any purchase. We go in and buy a $5 item and it's free. Since we have 3 devices in the house, it adds up to $15 of free stuff per week. We loaded up on free fuzzy socks, stuffed animals and such for party favors at my dd's birthday party :)
