I am so glad that medication worked for your skin! I would love to acne free, but I am to worried to try Proactive because I heard once you start you can't stop using it...I am also a huge fan of makeup. I am 18 and my acne was never horrible, but it was never mild by any means. At one point I had tried every treatment through two dermatologists with no results in 6 years worth of visits. I found it mortifying, because no matter what makeup I used, that acne was still there. Some days were better then others, and some makeups work better then other's depending on the skin. I have very dry skin so sometimes even with moisturizers foundation or concealer could look bad. I went on accutane about a year ago and just finished my second time on it; My face is clear and I am so very happy about that. With that said the one foundation that I found that really worked miracles was Clinique. It was light weight, it covered a lot, ( Not everything, but I don't believe anything ever does ) I topped this with a loose powder that I still use now. It has a little bit of sparkle too it and gives you a glow. The look is very natural and if you don't apply to much it wont look cakey or anything like that like many other heavier foundations and powders can end up being. As far as MAC goes, every dermatologist has told me the same thing because at one point I was wearing all MAC for concealer, powder, blush, etc. I was told that MAC's products cause people to break out further. I'm not sure why this is or what factual evidence there is to support it. What I do know is when I started to wear it I DID break out worse then I already was so I returned it right away and turned to other products such as Clinique and Bobby Brown. I still do wear MAC lip glosses though... they are to adorable to give up![]()
Anyways Makeup I have:
Face: Clinique foundation, Clinique loose powder
Eyes: Clinique mascara
Lips: Clinique Air Kiss ( Somebody else mentioned this lip gloss and it is AMAZING), Macplink lipstick, Mac Morning Glory Lip gloss, and many others
Blush: Bobby Brown Rosebud or something like that...
I love nail polish! I just bought "Black Amethyst" from Petites, and it is so pretty!I have medium occuring acne.
I wear Mary Kay foundation. Light Ivory or something like that. I love it. It covers my face up pretty well without caking it on (It's a powder). The only downside is it kind of wears off throughout the day, like touching your face and sweating, and the elements.
I usually lasts me three months or so, and I don't know but I'm sure it's not too expensive. I used to wear eyeliner and mascara but I kind of decided to go with the less is more thing, though I look more tired.
Oh, also, this isn't make up but it is girl stuff. lol.
Sally Hansen fingernail polish is going onsale at Walgreens for 40% off. You buy three and you get $5 off coupon back. Three comes up to $5.50. So if you go in the next day and buy three more and use your $5 coupon and you pay $.50! Then you get another $5 coupon for buying those three. I'm pretty sure you can use the $5 off for the polish though I'll have to check on it.![]()
What is that shimmery white stuff lol ?for my face I use the Mary Kay Mineral Powder.
I love that stuff.
For my eyes i use the Eyelights mascara. (with the sparkles in it!)
that stuff is good.
Eyliner is whatever i happen to get at the store...i always make sure and get one with a smudger thing...i use those alot.
and for my eyshadow i use covergirl.
i get the white shimmery stuff and put it all the way around my eyes...it really brings out my eyecolor and it matches with everything! lol
I go for the "smokey eye" look...most of the time i'm pretty successful.

Wow, sounds like it last a long long time! Good newsthat's definitely true! i bought my studio finish concealer in december and it's still going to last me a few months!! and I use it almost daily! so it's definitely worth it if you ask me, $26 a year for a great quality concealer![]()

I am also a make-up addictI love buying and trying new things. I ususally only buy department store brands for my everyday makeup like foundation, lipgloss, and mascara, but for things I use less, like eyeshadow and liner, I use drug store brands.
Right now my faves are:
Foundation: Lise Watier Mineral Brush ( best foundation I've ever tried, its easy to use, doesnt break me out, gives me medium coverage, and doesnt look cakey or fake )
Foundation Primer: Rimmel
Concealer: Clinique
Finishing Powder: Almay ( I think the line is called PureMinerals or something like that)
Mascara: Clinique
Lip Gloss: Estee Lauder ( all of their lipglosses smell sooo good )
Eyeshadow: I really use any brand of eyeshadow that I like the colours of. Right now I love Rimmel. They have these blended compact things, that are about the size of the bottom of a glass, that I really like. They are a cream shadow and they go on really nicely and last all day. I also like their eyefuls. The give really nice color, but dont last as long as i'd like.
Eyeliner: eyeliner for me is really trial and error. I have some that I like, but none that I love.
Blabbing over now![]()
Now what is the use of a primer, and finishing powder, so many people use them but are they any different than setting powder?
So glad there are makeup lovers out there like me, I just bought Dream Matte Mousse and concealer today at target for 15 bucks... OUCH. I had the powder in my shade, just the wrong shade foundation, I am like Edward Cullen pale XD
