My wedding is in about 4 months, and my fiance and I have already registered, but we are PRAYING that someone buys us (me) the luggage we registered for. The pushy part is, we are hoping to get it for our (my) SHOWER, so we'll have it in enough time for the WEDDING, so we can have it all packed up for our honeymoon! LOL- This may sound selfish, but what to do? Straight up TELL people that's what I want most? I think my family would be willing to hear it, and laugh along and agree that it's most practical, but I don't want girlfriends to think, "What a Bridezilla!"

If nobody buys it for you, then buy it yourself. If you can't afford it, pick less expensive luggage. If people are nice enough to buy you gifts, you should accept what they choose to buy for you. It is only okay to tell someone if they specifically ask you what you want most.

Tell your family, mom, dad, sister, etc. If you really talk it up to them, then they could be the ones to tell everyone else that you really want the luggage.

If people ask you what you want, then I think its okay to tell them. Otherwise, I would tell your mom, a sister, a close aunt, someone who people may ask what you really need that the luggage is your priority.
