Where are the quiet DVC resorts and what makes them "quiet"? I have not stayed at all of the resorts yet. My last visit at Vero Beach was quite noisy as we were right next to the Green Cabin room...:sad2:

I think every DVC resort has quiet spots. We have had restful stays at OKW (golf course view), VWL (woods view), and BC (woods view). Our stays at BWV, VB, AKV, and BLT overlooked the pool areas which tend to be noisier, but we never found it disturbing. Generally, if you request rooms far from the elevator and/or stairs, and away from the pools, it may be quieter.

I agree with the previous post. OKW can give you a very, quiet, restful stay. The villas away from the road and on the golf course can be very nice. Just like a home away from home. 

We generally find BWV to be quiet ... but we visit in January and always request a room located on the far "Dolphin-end" of the building. We have a preferred-view 2BR right now and it is plenty quiet -- even on the balconies.

I agree that every resort has quite rooms and lound rooms. Old Key West has always seemed very quite to me. The rooms are very spread out and there's not much to do there so it doesn't attract guests from other resorts. The WL is also pretty quite by the rooms, but the lobby can get pretty loud/busy. SSR has some areas far away from the lobby and pool that are quite, but anything close to the lobby is pretty loud. BLT is in a location where it looks like it's going to be loud. Same with the location for the Beachclub nad Boardwalk. The AKL seems a lot like the WL.

you stayed at BWV - so none of your visits to BWV were quite.

what are you requesting?

We've had quiet and relaxing stays at AKV Kidani, SSR and THV which are much needed after a day at the parks.

Our stay at BLT was quiet, we heard no hall noise.

BWV- BW view; mornings were quiet, most nights after 12 were fine except the occasional Jelly rollers at 2a. Hallway noise was a problem when staying standard view as well as the bus noise.
BCV extremely noisy by the pool and in the hallways.
VB- at the Inn was noisy in the hallways and by green cabin room but most of the time it was pretty quiet.

Saratoga Springs, not only are the grounds quiet the rooms are the quietest on Disney property, we always feel like we are the only ones in the building, never hear our neighbors.

I thought our stays at both SSR and BCV were quiet. No hallway or corridor noise that I recall. At BCV we faced the DVC pool...very quiet really. Hardly anybody out there. The lobby and SAB were both hopping but I would expect that. At SSR...we were in the Grandstand section...sorta faced the pool there too. But didn't hear any noise in our room. Did not notice any noise from the Green Cabin Room either last summer at Vero. Gosh that place is in bed by 9:00. OKW was dead quiet but that's probably 'cuz everything is SO FAR away. I don't recall much about VWL or Jambo - neither were a problem tho or I would remember!!

You must be getting that super human dog hearing!!

Many of the owners at OKW are original DVC members when there wasn't a choice of resorts - just OKW. It's been open for 18 (18, really???) years so far, so it is sometimes known as the OKW Retirement Village. It's my home and I love it.

stayed at the BW view once - it was NOT quiet. that darn bell on the boat is enough to wake me.

generally stay standard - the hallway has never given me a problem - wonder why you were so bothered - maybe little kids?

the bus are further away than at OKW - so they did not give me a problem. besides they are closer to the Inn than the villa.

if you ask for a higher quiet villa - think you will be fine.

you might like VWL it is fairly quiet - it is enough back from the street so the buses are not a problem. the only problem would be avoiding that service building - it does have truck delivery

There are several areas at SSR. I think the quietest is the Carousel, as it has no private pool and is farthest from the Main Pool/ Dining area. We liked the Paddock - it has a private pool and a walk across a bridge over the lake to the main pool. The Grandstand has a themed pool and more children stay there. Congress Park overlooks DTD.

I think OKW is quiet by and large. I also have found that Kidani savanna view is also quiet

OKW, Building -55 ,1 bedroom villa/ rm5521 or a studio/ rm 5520. WELCOME HOME.

Don't take a Disney Cruise! That was just unreal, kids running down the halls at all hours. Once, I finally did open the door and grab a few.:lmao: Parents just don't think to tell their children how to behave, because It's Disney!!!
