I don't think it's Sulake's decision, and I really doubt that Disney would have put themselves in a position to let Sulake pull the plug before they were ready. With that, I do think it's important to tell everyone involved- WDIG, WDPRO, and Sulake- how much you loved this game. There's no way that they expected this kind of outcry from us and even if the game does close, they should realize that there was something special about VMK that isn't present in other games.
Sulake has one of the best engines I've seen for a social multiplayer game. Habbo isn't a pleasant place to visit after seeing VMK, but it's ridiculously popular with its target age range. Maybe Sulake would see our cries for help as an opportunity to start a new world for a new audience- one with updated graphics and a strong community (and mods that do stuff

). It sounds like a lot of people here are done with Disney's online offerings anyway.
Really, it seems like Disney doesn't understand this kind of game.
That video interview really helped show their perspective in all of this. Time will tell whether their model works out for them, but a VMK doesn't seem to fit into their idea of what a virtual world should be. Many of their choices and the way they spoke about their current games just make me think that they don't understand why we were drawn to this game, and why that doesn't translate to any other game they've discussed.
Anyway, I do think it's a good idea to send comments to Sulake, but I don't think it's their fault that VMK is closing.
