Maybe changing my mind about contemporary! other Resorts?

We stayed at the Contemporary in the North Garden wing and we loved it!! The side exit of North is maybe 30 seconds from the side entrance into the Food & Fun center. This was terrific for getting coffee/soda refills and the kids could walk over w/o us. I'm always surprised when I read reports of people that hate the Cont decor and think it's tacky. I think it's nearly perfect!

We stayed at the Polynesian over Christmas and while it is gorgeous, we all missed the Contemporary. Perhaps we're just weird, lol. Our plan was walk to MK in the am (10 minutes tops) and then monorail back as the Cont is the first stop on the monorail loop.

Considering you're a family of three, you can stay in any of the resorts. With a 5 yr old, I'd lean toward the MK resorts, specifically the Cont or Wilderness Lodge. If your 5 yr old is enthralled with animals, another terrific choice would be the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

thanks for all the help! I still not sure yet, we are not going until june 26 - july 2 so i still have some time. We might also have some family going along also (that status is unsure right now) therefore a little cheaper would be better for them. So if that is the case then that might just take care of me getting to stay in a disney resort. That might just put me downtown or maybe even offsite.
So now i am trying to put together a booklet of hotel/resort for onsite & offsite so i can compare them to each other. Is there a place i can go to that will give a large list of hotels/resorts.

If i find a good rate on hote/resort & i book 2 rooms then only need just 1 can i cancel 1 of the rooms without having to cancel entire ressie.

Are there codes that come out for the public also or are they just emailed ones only.
