I am reading over on the Transporation boards about JB changing flight times and bumping people off because of overbooking. Can anyone with JB experience settle me down, I have never flown them and I am worried about not getting a flight time change and missing my flight back etc. I know it is just me being paranoid but my other choice is Air Tran. Did not like the extra charges and smallish seating with them so I wanted to try JB. I had THOUGHT they were amazing but after reading more about them I am really worried-HELP ME PLEASE!

I love JB . They have small changes but nothing major. JB vs AT eithier would work but I like the extras with JB.

We have flown JetBlue several times. The time changes on the flights are usually noted well in advance and never mor than an hour. We have had great experiences with JetBlue. The one time we had a delay due to a Mechanical issue, they comped out flight for all 4 of us and gave us free drinks and Movies!

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Thanks for your responses Bigman and Greenclan! I just worry too much I think! I just thought so many people loved JB and then I started reading all these posts regarding the changes and it panicked me a bit-deep breaths, deep breaths-:)

We have flown with JB five times. Never had a person bumped from our flight, and all but one have been full.

JB has great service, great included extras (TV's on each seat, free checked bag, onboard snacks, free seat selection) and lots of leg room. My 6'4", 295 pound husband can be reasonably comfortable in their planes.

Planes have been in excellent condition, and all of our flights but one have departed ontome and arrived early (our most recent return flight, we left on schedule but were about 5-10 minutes later arriving than scheduled....no biggie).

We have also flown AirTran and Sunwing, and DH and DS have both flown AC. DS has flown Westjet as well. We would pay extra to fly JB, we prefer them that much over other competitor airlines.

The TV's on each seat are a huge bonus for us. None of us enjoy flying (its our least favourite part of the journey) and the TV's make an otherwise unpleasant and dreaded stretch of time rather bearable.

We also love that earn points on our flights, and can get a credit on a future flight if purchased flight prices decrease.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jetblue!

I also wanted to mention that while almost every flight time has changed a smidgen, all but once it was usually between 10 and 30 minutes either way. Nothing that warranted a major change of plans. The one time that it did change significantly was to change my early morning flight (8 am.....which I hated, but was far more affordable than the afternoon flight home) to a much more reasonable 12 noon. That made me a happy girl!

thanks Gina, the fact that you would pay extra to fly JB makes me feel a little more secure.

I also paid about $40 more x's 4 of us this year. I figure when I would have to pay seat fees and baggage fees I am no worse off.

I've flown both and I would book Jetblue over Airtran every time!

Now that being said, I was looking at a Jetblue flight that we are about to book through Expedia or Priceline (I checked both so I don't remember which one it was) and was able to see the remaining seats. All it allowed for choice was 5 or 6 random scattered seats and the back row. We are not going to book it unfortunately. Like you are concerned about , it's way too close to full for me to not worry about getting bumped and I like to be much closer to the front.

Now, I don't know how accurate those seating charts are, but you can search and take a look at what they say is left for the flight you are looking at:)

ETA) Jetblue is always our first choice, closely followed by Southwest :)

Another JB supporter! We have flown several times with them and always been happy. Our DS prefers JetBlue over others for their great tvs:rotfl2:

Any airline can have the oversold seat issue and change of flight times. I have not flown JB but heard more pros then negs about it!

Another JB fan here! We have flown them many times and have ALWAYS had a great experience. Their customer service is fabulous and you just can't beat the free (as many as you want) snacks on-board:thumbsup2

I've flown JB literally hundreds of times and have never seen anyone bumped. Like all airlines, they do overbook but somebody always takes the freebies to give up their seats.

We have flown with JetBlue and loved them. I specifically choose them because of the TVs on the back of the seats (kids!), free snacks & drinks, and 1 bag free each. Not to mention price.

JetBlue did move our early morning flight back, but only an hour which meant a bit extra sleep. :). On the way back there was a delay while we sat on the plane and JetBlue gave us each credit toward a future flight.

We will book with them again.

Funny, I answered this thread earlier and decided to check Jetblue again before I booked Southwest. I found a decently priced flight the evening before ( I was looking for Saturday morning) and decided to go for it :thumbsup2

I had a credit from a price drop on our Jetblue flight in the summer and was able to apply that too so all in all I am a happy camper. I used the credit to book "Even More Legroom" seats for us because we like to sit together and it will make my 6ft 4 DH a happy guy:goodvibes

Thanks again for all your responses! I booked JB and feeling better about it now!
