Maybe about to book JetBlue but SCARED/flight changes-help!

HUGE fan of Jetblue. I only fly them when flying in the US. I collect points and am on my way to a free flight:cool1:

I have NEVER been bumped from my seat due to overbooking. I know that Southwest is the King of overbooking. But have never encountered this issue on JB, infact, I have typically seen empty seats here and there.

As well, I love that IF they change your flight time (which is usually not by much), that they are willing to accomodate to another flight time.

Also, if your flight price drops, and you catch it, you will recieve a credit to your account. I am already up $150 with them, and have 2 flights to watch the price on.

Can't get much better than JetBlue:thumbsup2

EXCELLENT! It is looking more and more like this was the right choice-I will be watching the prices for sure! thnx!

I'm flying with them for the first time in 18 days. I chose them because of all the praise, and the free checked bags. They seem to be very family friendly too.

I hope I get the service I've heard about so much!

They have their "customer bill of rights" and they truly live up to it. We are flying with them again for the umpteenth in March. Even if the flight time changes by 5 mins they send you an email to let you know.

We were coming back from MCO maybe a year ago or so and our plane got to like Savannah, GA before being turned back to Orlando for a mechanical problem. They had no more flights that night to BUF so they gave everyone credits for dinner and breakfast, plus hotel rooms at the MCO Hyatt, plus credits equal to our cost for the flight from BUF-MCO AND MCO-BUF. No regrets with JB ever.

Love Jet Blue! It is our new favourite airline to fly with now! No worries!!

We are flying with them for the first time in March and so far i'm very impressed with the Customer Service I received. My flight times have changed but not by much and they have called me to advise as well as email. I've heard and read many positives notes in regards to JetBlue and i'm looking forward to my trip.

I should also mention that JetBlue is very aware of the number of Canadians flying with them out of Buffalo. The crew often mention it over the PA system on the plane...

What's the average price anyone has paid for a direct flight from Buffalo to Orlando??

I think my average is between $180-$200 CND taxes and fees included. I know I would not pay more than that if I had to.

Good to know, thank you! How far in advance did you book this?
I thought maybe I could sign up for email notifications on webdeals or seat sales but no such luck that I can find on the jetblue website ....

We paid $205 pp from Orlando to Buffalo on December 30th. We ended up taking Airtran from Buffalo to Orlando as the Jetblue prices were outrageous ($300+ one way, where Airtran was $150).

We have purchased airfare from Syracuse to Orlando (and back) for August on Jetblue (Friday, August 23 returning Saturday, August 31), and paid $145 there and $205 home. The return flight was more expensive as its the Labour Day holiday weekend, I am guessing. Buffalo's prices for the same dates were substantially more, but Buffalo was cheaper for Christmas than Syracuse. Ah, the airlines do like to keep us guessing.

For this particular trip, I booked about a week ago, maybe less (just after I posted this question) but I am ALWAYS looking, I am signed up for all the airlines emails plus the smarter travle, travelocity, expedia etc newsletter. Keep in mind that alot of airlines release sale dates on Tuesdays and then you sometimes see the others play catch-up within 48 hours. It also depends on the time of year and how picky you are about what day you are flying etc. Gina is on the right track with looking at other airports, I sometimes look at Detroit but I have yet been able to justify the small savings to the 3+ hour drive (buffalo is only 1hour 20 minutes door to door for us) plus I LOVE how small Buffalo airport is compared to Pearson and I have flown thru Detroit and I know it is a bigger airport, part of the apppeal to the Buffalo route is how quicky we get thru the airport.
There have been some great prices in that 200-250 range for the last few weeks, just keep your eyes open-hope this helps

That's about right for us too. It takes a lot of watching though. For this trip I paid 100pp on Southwest for our flight coming home, and then 185 per person on the way there with Jetblue. I had credits from price drops from our last trip for both airlines that brought it down to about 900 total for all airfare.

We booked late with this one, so I could have got it a bit cheaper. I also wanted non stop flights and paid a little more for those. Had I been willing to have a layover I could have got it even lower.

On Friday, I received a call that my flight times had changed again and this time has delayed our arrival in Orlando by 2 hours. I called JetBlue and was able to change my flight to a better time than my original flight...:thumbsup2
JetBlue Customer Service is awesome! :cool1:
