Maybe a stupid question, but can you rent bikes...

Can you rent bikes at WL and then return them at the bike barn at FW?

I've rented bikes from the WL quite a few times..it's always been my understanding that they should be returned before the marina(that's where you rent them) closes. We were there in May and had to have them back by 5:00 pm...which frankly seemed a bit early to me.

That being said..we did rent them one time..and there were terrible thunderstorms when we rode over to FW. Wasn't letting up..and there was NO WAY we were going to get them back in time. We were at the Settlement Trading Post(in FW) at the time..and we told them about our situation. They called the WL and told them we'd be leaving our bikes at the Fort. It wasn't a problem. I don't believe they do it under ordinary circumstances..but given the thunder and lightning ...they were nice enough to let us leave them there..and we took a nice dry bus back to the WL.

I doubt it can be done routinely. In auntie's case, I can see them making an exception, but I would think it would be a logistical nightmare for them to have bikes rented at one location and returned to another routinely.
