I have been researching pouches (Im not interested in slings) and was wondering if anyone has used the Maya Wrap Adjustable Pouch. Did you find that it was comfortable or did the zippers dig into your shoulders? I thought I read about someone having problems with the zippers digging and I just wanted to be sure it wasnt an issue. Thanks in advance!

Hmm, I haven't heard too many good reviews on this pouch because of the zipper. Have you checked out www.kangarookorner.com? The adjustable fleece pouch is amazing but definitely not summertime wear - the adjustable cotton pouch is pretty nice too (I have both). I've also heard good things about www.hotslings.com (though they are not adjustable).

when are you going? there are wraps at www.fairuzasball.com that might work for you...i have the pouch from maya wrap but did not like it as much as the pouch from kangaroo korner...but it is heavy fleece....not as light weight as the ellaroo wraps.

I have a non-adjustable New Native pouch, and I love it. If you got the Maya and were bothered by the zippers, maybe you could use a safety pin to attach a piece of fleece under the zippers.

To throw a completely different option into the mix, my absolute favorite carrier is my Kozy. It takes longer to put on, but it's amazing. My 23 pound 6 month old isn't heavy at all in it.

Thanks for the input. I used a Bjorn with my first son (12+ lbs at birth) and it absolutely killed my back. Plus my son didnt look very comfy in it! Ive been eyeing Pea in the Pod (fleece is too hot for me and SC summers), Kangaroo Korner (dont have anything in my size that I like) and have really been looking at Hotslings (worry about the non-adjusting part, but people rave about them). My baby isnt due until early July, so I still have some time to look!

Mmm, I love my Kozy too! Carried my 31lb toddler comfortably for quite a while one crabby evening at Epcot. It's a month or two wait for one, these days, but well worth it!! www.kozycarrier.com

I have a Sachi Mei Tai which looks very similar to the Kozy and I love, love, love it! I can carry my 35 pounder on my back and barely notice. There is no waiting list and it only took about 10 days from order to delivery.
