In all the time I've been reading these boards, I rarely see anything about the Coronado Springs restaurants. Is that for a reason...meaning they are no good?!!
And is Maya Grill considered the premiere restaurant there? Any reviews???
Thanks!!!!

we stayed at CSR last year. the food court at pepper market was very good with a good selection of foods. it's a little different from the traditional food courts, but, we came to like it just fine. we only ate at maya grill once for breakfast. we did the buffet which was very good.

We stayed @ CSR over Thanksgiving (and DS & I are going back in a few weeks!!). We ate dinner at the Maya Grill at least twice, and breakfast at least twice. We really did enjoy the food, and it seemed to us that the prices were reasonable. We never had PS, but we never had to wait for a table. The staff was great, too.

We had some meals at Pepper Market, too, and the food was good to OK. Pepper Market is the CSR "food court." It has a unique concept, which I sort of liked. When you are seated, you are given a card-type ticket (or several, depending on the size of your group). The "Market" is layed out a little like you would think of a cafeteria, with separate areas for different types of food (Oriental, Mexican, Italian, kids, etc.). After you walk around forever trying to decide what to get (LOL), you place your order and give your card to the CM behind that particular serving area. The CM will ink-stamp your card to indicate what you ordered, then give it back to you. You get your food, then can go to another area for additional food items, if you choose, following the same procedure.

If there are several members in your group, they can go off and get what they want and get their own cards stamped. Or, you can put several "meals" on one card. It doesn't really matter, because when you leave, you present your stamped card(s) and they ring up your total.

A 10% gratuity is automatically added (fine with me, but others have expressed displeasure over this). But the thing you REALLY HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR?????? It's sooooo easy to get more than you wanted -- and have to pay for it! When DS & I go next month, I'll have some control over that, since he's only 7.

Have fun! And remember, it's like everything else in The World (and THE WORLD, too for that matter), each person has his/own tastes and preferences. You just gotta "try it" to see if ya "like it!"

We ate at the Maya Grill the year after Coronado Springs opened. We really enjoyed it. We ate there for dinner....very nice, somewhat expensive.
We also ate there for a breakfast buffet, that wasl also very good.
But I understand that the restuarant has changed in recent years, so Ican't help much. However, we will try ti again someday...we like to try different restaurants all the time...but soon will be running out of new ones to try...so will need to go back to some "oldies!!!"

OH>..and the Pepper market at CSR was absolutely the best food court that we have tried at any of the resorts!
