I think the menu for Maya Grill looks good but I just don't see much on here about it. Any experiences you want to share? FWIW, we're staying POR. TIA!!!

We ate there last year and the food was good. Not great, but not horrible either. It did take a LONG time to get through the meal though and near the end our son had just about had enough.

We just ate here on Saturday, September 11. The menu has changed from what was posted on allears.net! We ate here only because we were too tired to leave our resort to go to Downtown Disney for our ADR. The food was actually really, really good! My husband had the prime rib and said it was the best the whole trip (he's picky about his prime rib). I had the grilled porkchop with black beans and rice and a tomatilla salsa on the side. I thought it tasted fine. Pork chop not too dry and the beans and rice where spiced the way I liked them (and I LOVE tomatilla salsa so that was a plus). DS14 had the Kobe style burger and I guess he enjoyed it (he didn't say either way - it's hard to tell with those teenagers...). DS10 had the salmon that had a tequilla glaze - he liked it, I thought it was a bit sweet - and he had a side with quinoa and peppers maybe, I can't remember. Desserts were the same and they were fine as far as Disney desserts go, nothing to-die-for. The churro dessert I thought was a bit skimpy - it looked like they took one of the long churros from Pepper Market and cut it in thirds and served with a scoop of ice cream. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the new menu. The waiter told us it was new after we had our meal and he asked us our opinions of the entrees and sides and such. Based on our recent visit, I would actually recommend this place and probably will try it again if we go back soon. Any other questions?

Oh, I didn't note anything about the service. Our table was ready immediately (probably because of it's previous reputation?) and they had live music playing (guy with a guitar - very nice sounding). Our food was prepared quickly and was nice and hot (great for the zucchini/squash/veggie side), my DH's coke glass never ran empty, and the area we were sitting in wasn't too dark. All in all it was a fine place. My husband said he liked the atmosphere better than Captain's Grille that we had dined at early in the week (too noisy, and entrees only had a meat and starch - no veggies). Anything else?

We ate there on Sept 5th and we really enjoyed it. Service was great and the food was very good. Ambiance was nice and peaceful. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the update! I wonder how long before allears or dis updates their menus. Glad you had a positive experience.

Thanks!

This is one of those places that I always have on my "maybe" list that never makes it to the "definite" list.

We ate there last year, the meal was not too bad but the chimmichuri they give you before with bread is awesome. Its basically oil with all sorts of spices init to eat on the bread and it's great, they even have recipes printed because so many people ask for it. We are returning in a week!

Love the Maya grill. It's a great under appreciated restaurant. I had the prime rib last time I was there and I thought it was awesome. My husband really enjoyed it to and he's usually not a prime rib eater.
I do miss the Caribbean chicken rolls though that were an appetizer. Those were so good!

Only problem I had with the Maya grill was we didn't know there was more than one bus stop and so we got off at the first one and it took us forever to find it. The coranado springs resort is huge

We ate here Mon. Sept. 13th. Food was not the greatest. It wasn't horrible, but there are places I would rather eat. It was a beautiful atmosphere and the live music was nice but it took almost 2 hours for us to eat and settle our bill. The service was ok. My DH ordered the Seared Mahi, the fish looked more boiled than seared and the only thing he really liked was the pineapple salsa. We will not be making a second visit to this restaurant.
