Please tell me everything you know about Maya Grill. Is it kid friendly? Good food? Nice atmosphere?

Maya Grill is a little more adult oriented, with a nuevo Latino vibe, but I saw plenty of kids. I thought that dinner was good, however, the menu is not too adventuresome. The breakfast buffet was typical, and not worth the $ IMO. The theme is very well executed in the decor. There is a great outdoor lounge that overlooks the lake.

Thanks!

I looked it up on Tripadvisor and it got pretty horrible reviews. It was the only ADR I could get for our arrival night. I think we might skip it and just eat at the food court instead or see what else might become available in the meantime. :)

Never eaten at Maya Grill for dinner but have stayed at CSR twice (third trip booked!) and it is our favourite breakfast venue. We have tried lots of breakfasts at WDW (crt/CP/GF cafe/1900 PF etc.) and no breakfast matches up to MG for us. We would happily eat breakfast there every morning of our stay. They are very child friendly in a morning, our first visit DS was 5 and DD 1 - no problems with highchairs etc. Last year when children were 9 and 5 we loved it again. Good choice of fruit, bakery selection, standard cereals and cooked selection plus some more unusual mexican-style breakfast options. Patatas Bravas (my favourite, cubed potatoes cooked with onion and red and green peppers) and breakfast burritos (with scrambled egg and a spicy tomato sauce).

Rest of family stick to normal fair!!

last year we had a week at CSR and a week at GF and the CSR was voted best on breakfast and transport by all of us. Next year we were going to try AKL but I was outvoted and all down to that breakfast!!!

Have a good trip.

Well it's certainly better than any food court. It's kid friendly and usually fairly quiet. Coronado Springs is sort of "off the radar" for dining, so Maya dosen't get much business beyond folks already at that resort. It used to have a much more adventurous menu for dinner, but that changed a few years back.
We like breakfast there also--again, fairly quiet. The menu is pretty standard but good.

We had a good meal there in 2006 with our kids. Can't remember what we ordered but our overall impression was that the meal was good. It was, however, the longest meal of 10 meals on the DDP. By the time it was over our 5 yo DD was SOOOO ready to go. We will be having dinner there on 8/24 so I'll post a review when we get back.

Hi!
When I stayed at the Coronado Springs Resort, I did not eat at Maya Grill but I did have a chance to eat in the food court and bar area as well.

I have to say that the Food Court at CSR is the best food court anywhere I've eaten. The made-to-order foods are really tasty and I love the wide range of options which usually satisfy alot of my food moods.

For munching, the salsa and chips that I had at the bar area (and offered in the food court also) is the best salsa I've had also. One of my favorite memories is after we would get back to the resort at night, we would go in and just simply order salsa and chips for really cheap, maybe a beer or two, and it felt just like home.

We've never eaten dinner, but Maya Grill has my favorite breakfast in WDW.

The Maya Grill works either way. Kid friendly or if you want a quiet, romantic dinner. Try the filet or St Louis ribs!!

In June '07 we were all set to enjoy our first meal at Chef Mickey's. Sadly, a transportation snafu put us behind and we missed our ADR window. I ended up calling Disney Dining and we were able to get a reservation at Maya Grill. It may not have been the best meal all week but it was very tasty. The decor is what you might expect inside a Mayan pyramid, complete with faux torches flickering in the background.

We really enjoyed the variety of the Pepper market, and ate many a brunch there. Hope to get back to CSR in the next year or two.
