Maya Grill

I can't say about dinner, but their breakfast buffet was not good at all...

Hope I dont ruin the fun for you...but the Maya was horrible! We were staying at the CSR on the free dining plan, so we ate at the Maya when we were unable to get in anywhere else. I found that the service was slow and terrible. There are just 2 of us and it took 2 hours from start to finish to eat our meal and get our check. I myself dont enjoy spending 2 hours in a restaurant when Im at WDW...too many things to do. :cool1: IMO there are other restaurants out there that are much better!

oh no-i booked a few adr's for my trip next week thinking it would be easy to just go in and have a quick breakfast/dinner

I have to agree that the service was turtle slow!!! However, the dinner was really good. One of the best meals we ate on our 4 day trip. We also stayed at CSR. Not impressed with resort in general...but we were comparing it to the WL. Hope this helps!

thanks for all the replies! Hmmmm.....I don't know how slow service would be with a 3 year old! I thought it would be nice to eat at our resort, but maybe I need to see if I can come up with something else. Ahhh....the adr's are never really DONE are they? LOL

Especially with a 3 year old you may just want to eat at the Pepper Market if you're set on eating inside CSR.

You can walk around and choose what you want to eat and it takes only as long as you want it to, and you dont have to worry about young kids getting restless at a table because they can get up and move about as much as they want.

I would have to agree with the above poster. We ate their last Sept. It was the worst service we had all week. However, the food was some of the best we had all week. But the service made it a difficult meal with five children.

We're eating there in August. I really hope I'm not that disappointed. This is a couples only trip for me and dh, so we will not have the kids to worry about. We're eating at as many resorts as we can, and I really want to see if CSR is as amazing as I've read about.

It's been awhile since we ate at Maya but we really enjoyed it. We were there for free dining in 2005 while staying at CSR we opted to dine there twice. Both times the food was great and the service was fine as well. My youngest DD was 4 at the time and I remember she was upset because she had to put her crayons down and eat. So the service wasn't slow on our visits. Like I said it's been almost 2 years but service can be different on any given day. If the menu looks good to you I'd hold on to the ADR and see for yourself. Good luck

We used to love it when it served Nuevo Latino cuisine. Now, it's just another chops house. So, when we go, we stick with appetizers and desserts, which still retain a little of the restaurant's original flair. We also enjoy the margaritas, and an after dinner stroll around the lake. We've never noticed the service as being too slow -- but we like to relax and enjoy our meals (we hate to be rushed).
