Which one of these would you pick?

I can't get the Fantasmic package, (with MM) as they are sold out for that. But I can get a dinner ADR.

We will be at MGM that day, and want to watch Fan! that night. So it would be easier to stay in the park and eat at MM. But I haven't heard great things about it.
So I thought we could go over to Coranado Springs and eat at the Maya Grill maybe. Is it worth it?

If you were me, what would you do?

I like Maya Grill over MM, but I wouldn't leave the park for it. :)

I think you'll be fine with either one.

We did Mama Melrose for dinner (fantasmic package) and it was really good. I was a little nervous because I had read some poor reviews. But we had wonderful service and the food was very good. It is one of those things that I have found some like, some don't; you have to make your own decision. My family of 3 enjoyed it and we plan to go back in March '08.

my vote is neither....

have you thought about boma? its not that much farther than the Maya Grill...

I can't comment on Mama Melrose but can on Maya Grill. I really enjoyed our dinner there last year very much. But it looks to me like you are staying at Pop. If you have a car, then I think Maya Grill would be fun. I always enjoy exploring new resorts and CSR is lovely, esp. at night. You could stroll around the very lovely lake before or after your meal, I think CSR is worth a trip over. However, if you don't have a car, and will have to bus to CSR, then after dinner bus to a park or DTD, then bus back to Pop, then I would just stick with eating at MGM. Its great to experiment but if you don't have a car, it can be sort of exhausting especially at the end of a long day!

P.S. If I read your signature wrong, and you are staying at CSR by all means give Maya Grill a try. Then its just a short walk to your room. We loved our meal there but we were staying there. Good thing, I ate so much it was all I could do to waddle back to my room and collapse in a food coma!

We are staying at Pop. The plan was to hit MGM at 1pm, stay until supper, take the bus to CS, eat at Maya Grill, then bus back to MGM to see Fantasmic!

Even typing that out makes it seem like a lot of work....wasted time....running around too much..... hmmmmm, I might have just answered my own question!!

Anaother alternative would be to eat at one of the Epcot resorts (Cape May at the Beach Club for instance) or on the Boardwalk. You can walk to either area or take the boat. Walking to the Boardwalk from MGM takes around 15 minutes, its a very pleasant walk along the river. There are at least a couple of places there, we have eaten at and enjoyed Big River Grill. Good luck, I agree it sounds exhausting to do the CSR thing, but then again, sometimes a break can be nice!

Good suggestion. I may think into that.
I love the Dining Plan, but it sure is a pain planning around meals!

I am with Epcotguy...if you can get an ADR go to BOMA. The food is amazing! Expensive but IMHO, worth it.

Hmmmmm, Boma may be a good choice. My dd loves Giraffes, and we wanted to go to the AKL to look around and maybe see one.
So maybe we should go there.

How long would the bus ride be from MGM to AKL? (Bus the best route?--only route?)

We are not real adventurous eaters. Would we enjoy it here? My kids like salad, but very plain salad. They love buns, but plain white ones! We all like chicken, beef, but again, pretty plain.
Would we be able to get enough to satisfy ourselves here?

Do they offer fruit at Dinner?

My vote is to make it easy and eat at MM. But then, it's our hands down FAVORITE non-breakfast restaurant on property. The only issue we've had is dh's steak was underdone last trip which they promptly and courteously fixed.

I honestly enjoyed our MM meal. I had read the bad reviews so my expectations were low but I thought everything we ate was very good.
