Is there anything that goes on in the month of May? Are the crowds high or Low? Is this value time? Thanks for the info. :thumbsup2

The Flower & Garden Festival is going on at Epcot in May. We've been twice in mid-May (Mother's Day week) and the crowds have been fairly low. Most waits being under 30 minutes. But it is not considered Value season by Disney, it is Regular season. Therefore, not the lowest rates. But we have been in Value season (end of January) and it was more crowded than May.

I went the first week of May this year and the last week of May 5 years ago. Both times the parks were not really crowded. Most rides had minimal wait times.

Mid-May is usually the kick-off to the summer season as many southern schools let out mid-month as well as colleges.

Grad nights are usually late April into early May.

Star Wars weekends have historically begun mid-May.

F&G ends May 16 this year.

I would not consider it low crowds but it's not Spring Break crowds either. It's very hot but without the late summer humidity.

This year, the F&G festival will end the 16th as previously noted. Disney just released Star Wars Weekends starting the 21st. Last year, they overlapped so it was nice to experience both.

I guess it depends on what you'd rather see. Since it's still school time in early May, the parks are pretty light.

For May/June the deal is like this..

The later you go..the more schools, colleges and universities have let out and that means more visitors. It really is that simple.

The very final week of May and the first week of June is GayDays in Orlando at area themeparks and while not sponsored by Disney, it does bring about 100,000 ppl to the Orlando area (not just Disney) during that time frame.

Early May? Or even up til about the 26th? Fantastic time to go for crowds .. but again.. the later you go, the higher the crowds generally speaking.

Hope this helps,

Knox
