How is the 3rd week of May at Fort Wilderness? That is when we are thinking of going, we have never been. We want to go before it gets too hot.

I'm thinking May is pretty hot. Weather should be sunny overall. But it's good to stay before the end of school and the summer crowds arrive. Also, nice to be there prior to the official start of hurricane season.

We have only been once in the last of May, it was hot and fairly busy. But I would go again if it was the only time I could.

I was there the last week of May this year....pretty steamy, but not miserable.

We've been in May several times. Usually the week prior to Memorial Day weekend..actually departing Disney on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I guess we've been lucky, because I've found the weather to be very nice. Warm, without the humidity that we were accustom to during our August visits. The parks weren't all the crowded and we were able to obtain advance dining reservations quite easily. It does appear to get more crowded as the Memorial Day weekend approaches, but we area usually leaving by then, so it wasn't an issue.

Have to agree with Auntie. May is the best time to go. We always go the week before Memorial Day and leave Memorial Day weekend. The weather has always been perfect (none of those late summer storms or hurricanes) and the crowds are so low we never need fast passes. If I had my choice, we'd only ever go in May, but alas grandson is in school now and we may have to move your next trip to June..blah!
