May weather in WDW?

I'm trying to figure out what to pack for our (DH, DD- 2 y.o., and myself) trip in late April, early May; we'll be on the DCL first so we'll have plenty of warm weather stuff but wasn't sure how it would be once we get on land. I am a major pack rat, but with all these luggage restrictions now, I don't want to over pack, but don't want to have to buy warm clothes in WDW either... Also, does it rain much during this time?

Went the exact same time last year for 2 weeks, and not a drop of rain! It was hot during the day, and you could do capris and a sweat or long sleeve shirt at night. DH wore shorts and a sweatshirt at night.
IMO it is the BEST time to go!

We went last year from April 29th-May5th, and let me tell you it was HOT!! I am from Miami, Fl, and I am always surprised at how hot Orlando is. It never rained one day for the week that we were there. We always took breaks during the afternoon to be able to nap and swim. I'm sure that you'll have a great time. Just be prepared for anything, Florida weather is crazy and it can change at any moment.

Mostly warm and hot during the day but when the sun goes down it can get a little chilly so bring a sweatshirt or light sweater and even a pair of jeans.

We went one year and it was HOT except at night when taking the boat from Ft Wilderness to the Contemporary or MK - the wind off the water was FREEEEEEEZING!
