MAY W.I.S.H. - Let's make it an aMAYzing Month

Woowhoo tomorrow's brainstorming session will be virtual so I can stay home.
Woowhoo I was able to bake some muffins for my coworker who had surgery...huge woowhoo that she will not need radiation.

Future woowhoos:
May 2023 woowhoo DS8 and DD have made leaps and bounds in their therapies and IEP related tasks, so much so that they will require fewer hours. DS10 is looking forward to junior high.

November 2022 woowhoo everyone is healthy and looking forward to the holidays!

August 2022 woowhoo WDW trip is approaching fast! And I have toned up enough that I dont jiggle when I jog!

General thankful - I am thankful for the people I work with and that I've matured enough to accept their help without feeling like I've come up short or failed to do something.

Small (guilty pleasure) thankful - I really enjoy watching Survivor, as many years as it has been on they keep the game fresh by changing things up and this season the contestants they chose are compelling and fun to watch.

Welp, my husband just tested positive for Covid. So there you go.:sad:Tomorrow morning, DD and I are getting tested. She had it in December. I had something that resembled Covid but I tested negative. I’m actually hoping that I actually had it back then which might give me some immunity now. I will let you know what happens.

Friday free for all

in addition to whatever you would like to share let's add some giggles! Please share a funny joke, meme, recent life event etc
One of my cats has taken to getting into cupboards lately. All of a sudden we'll hear a scratching because she got in, but cant get out:

This is the cupboard over the fridge!

The one with cleaning chemicals now has a child lock on it. My kid is 21.

I am thankful that I was very organized the past two weeks at school; my assessments are done; progress report grades are entered; my sub folder is current; parent workshop invitations went out yesterday; field trip money and permission slips were turned in; my desk drawers are locked so the sub won’t be touching my things like in the past (yes, things have gone missing); DD got us testing appointments at a place that provides PCR results on the same day; and most importantly, DD and I are still symptom-free.

DH is more ill than I have ever seen him over the course of 30 years. He’s fully vaccinated with one booster. This so-called milder variant is not so mild for him. Hoping that we can get him antivirals today.

At work I do a Friday Funnies email each week, here's the one from this morning:

What word actually becomes shorter when you add two letters to it?

The cat and dog pics are just a bonus.

This has not been a healthy food week for me - again. There are things I did do well tho:
- I stopped taking the allergy meds because I suspected they were what was making me feel so crappy. I've perked up quite a bit, and the allergies aren't worst so I think this was a good choice.
- After investigating the different med options for ADHD and talking to my doctor and counselor, I decided not to start taking any because they all have awful side effects. Instead I've added another herbal supplement that seems to be helping: I'm taking more breaks to get up and move around, usually going out to the front porch to get some fresh air: I've been learning about under-stimulation and how to use background noises to keep my brain stimulated so that I can focus. Right now I've got 'Ambient World: EPCOT' going on my phone, which is really nice.

Plans for the weekend... this afternoon I go for my first electrolysis appointment, I'm going to have her blast my mustache hairs, because I'm so tired of plucking and fussing with them. Saturday I think I'm going to do the country loop drive, after I get my second booster. There's a PNW yarn shop crawl going on, so I'm thinking I'll go out to that yarn shop and buy something fancy. Sunday I get a haircut... plus chores, there are always the chores.

Happy Friday Everyone!!

@Summer2018 i am so so sorry to hear about DH. I sure hope he’s feeling better soon!

@Oneanne loved the joke and the pictures 🐾

@PollyannaMom the cat made me LOL

Funny thing that happened to me today…I was walking dogs at the spca and I get to a kennel with a dog who has all these warnings about hating walking-only short walks-ect…so we get just far away enough from the building that nobody could hear me yell and she lays down…and won’t move. Won’t go anywhere. So I thought ok…maybe she will chase me…nope. I finally got the idea that I could break tiny pieces of a milk bone and throw them and maybe she would get up to eat them, and she did! But I had to do it the entire walk-break a piece of treat, throw it 3 feet she would get up, walk to it, lay down and eat it and then I would repeat the process. I never thought the walk was going to end. We took the shortest path and it took 20 minutes to get it done and it should have taken 2 minutes!

I tested positive for Covid. Oh my God. I did everything I could to avoid it. Please keep me in your prayers. I am not sure how I’m going to do. I may need someone to take my week. If you don’t hear from me, just do what you need to do.
I’m so sorry!!! How are you feeling?
