May trip

On another thread there is a poll as to when in May everyone was going. The first two weeks were more popular & someone posted "Why is everyone going when I'll be there". I'm sure all of us going in May will have a great time no matter what week!! I'm just thrilled to be going in May at all. I didn't think we would be going this year but I really feel I need to put my rebate check back into the economy

I think its more of the people on these boards know it's better to go earlier in May. The majority of people going to Disney World won't be reading boards and just go whenever they are able to go as a family.

We have been the same week for the last few years. We leave in 59 days - May 16-May 24. Fly in late Friday so we can hit the parks early Sat am on the 17th. As was stated previously Sat the 24th is a holiday weekend but otherwise we find this a great time to go. We love the Flower and Garden Festival. We fly home late Saturday night and have Sun/Monday to get back to real life.

We'll be there the 10-18th! Can't wait! We went late April/early May and it seemed busier than when we've gone mid May because of school trips, grad nights, etc. So we are doing mid May again. And we'll be gone before the Memorial Day crowd heads in, especially since it seems earlier this year.

may 11th to 20th for us.............this is the latest in May we have ever gone, as we usually have been there more late-April to early May.

One thing about this time of year is the AWESOME weather. I think we have had MAYBE one rainy day in 3 yearly vacations this time of year. I'm thinking the crowds will die down a little bit in mid-May, as it always seemed like the parks slowed down a bit when we left our past 3 trips.

I totally forgot about Mother's Day on May 11. Might be a lil busier, but we will manage.

I started looking @ the Calendars...Magic Kingdom closing anywhere from as early as 7pm (P & P Party nights) to a as late as 11pm. Saw Spectro will be showing 2 times in one night as well as Fantasmic.

I hope that doesn't mean HUGE crowds.

Glad to hear crowds shouldn't be too bad during the end of May. We leave on the 17th!

We went the week leading up to Memorial Day in 2005 and the crowds were pretty low most of the week. By Friday the parks were starting to get crowded, but the beginning of the week was great.
