Just wanted to wish you a great vacation! We'll be in WDW around the same time and in AK the same day!

Yay, happy vacation to you too! It looks like only a couple days until you guys leave so I'm sure you're all very excited.

Ok, thankfully I'm feeling better so I can get back to being excited about Disney! Mike seems pretty much back to normal and I'm definitely on the mend. We're going to start packing in a bit. I'm generally more of a pack the night before type but Mike if a pack weeks in advance type. So he's compromised by waiting until tonight

How great you get to go with your Husband on his first ever trip!! My fiance has been and didn't like it. I am so sad, and can't help but wonder what went wrong on that trip. I'm currently begging and pleading for a WDW honeymoon. Haven't won yet but I feel like I'm starting to wear him down!

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky that he didn't require much convincing! He's an animation fan, he loves muppets, and he loves acting like a kid He's just not into the planning, which is fine since I am more than happy to take care of that end of things.

As far as your fiance, has he said specifically what he didn't like? Maybe if you can address that issue it would help with the convincing. If its crowds, you can talk about fast pass and going at a less popular time, if its the hectic nature of the trip, you can talk promise a less comando and more leisurely trip, if it seems too kiddy, you can talk about things like golf, the Richard Petty Driving thing, the adult beverages at Epcot or whatever falls into his interests. Hope it works out and congrats on the upcoming wedding!

Thank goodness you're both feeling better! Other good news- weather.com is saying that it will be sunny with only a 0-10% chance of preciptation for the first few days!

Thanks for pointing that out! I checked weather.com after I saw your post and it's completely the opposite from what they were forecasting earlier. I hope they stick with this version Sunny and low chances of rain for most of the week.

So happy it's the weekend! This week has seemed like it was never going to end between the being sick and the anticipation for Disney next week. I've been in bed by 9 every day since I've been so exhausted, so definitely need to do laundary and packing this weekend. And get a hair cut. In addition to that, my brother will be visiting on Sunday so I think I'm going to try to get all the errands done tomorrow so I can spend time with him without worrying about the to-do list.

In Disney anticipation news, I got a call from Victoria and Albert's today. I had completely forgotten that the are supposed to call a couple days before the reservation. The very nice lady confirmed our reservation time and date, went over any food limitations, and wished me a "grand" day It was a lovely call and I am even more excited about our dinner there on Wednesday.

Thanks for the good wishes! I'm all checked into the flight, and just a couple hours of work before it's vacation! We arranged for a cab to come pick us up at 5:00 tomorrow morning and then we're off to the airport. I hope everyone has a great week and I'll try to have lots of photos to share when I come back

Another great day! Rode star tours during today's soft opening. It was great! Resting before tonight's dinner at California grill.

We're back home. The trip was mostly uneventful though we ended up sitting on the runway for an extra 30 minutes or so after we landed in DC. Relaxing before work tomorrow but I hope to start editing some photos tomorrow to help ease the transition back into real life! I'll post a link to my trip report as soon as I start it

It was a crazy weekend. I had various family in town and there were various memorial day weekend activities we had to attend. We didn't get much of a chance to relax so we're deliberately leaving next weekend completely unscheduled. I'm looking forward to a weekend of not doing much.

But I did manage to start the trip report! The link is in my signature, along with a new ticker for my next trip And here's a gratuitous photo that a kindly stranger took of us while we were waiting to be let into Epcot.
