We're thinking about going to WDW in May rather than August. I've read that May is a good time to go to WDW b/c it is less crowded and less expensive.

However, I just read on another site that May is still considered regular season and not value season.

For those of you who have gone to WDW in May in past years, what rates did you get at mods and/or values?

What were the crowds like?

I appreciate your help.

It is considered regular season, but it's not peak season. So, yes it's more expensive than say February, but not as much as Christmas or Easter. IF they offer discounts, Mousesavers has the typical percentages off listed as 25%-30% off at the Value (All Star) hotels, 35%-45% off at the Moderate, Deluxe and Home-Away-From-Home resorts. So, the Value resorts would be around $69 (which does sound familiar).
